So, what happened was police set up a nice guarded space for the lefties to have their rally around the Rotunda/Jefferson Statue. That was the plan for weeks. They were going to check people for weapons to go in. At the last second antifa (whoever is in charge of anarchists?) decided they refuse that space. Their stated reason is that they hate cops. They didn't even bother to hide it.
