Workweek should be 30 hours, 5 six hour days. If you want to work for yourself you will find it necessary to work 50+ hours. Employers can hire more people to compensate for the 25% reduction in hours per person.

Primative societies actually spent FAR less time working and far more time socializing then we do currently.

IE a peasant got 1/3 days off, more during slow times, less during busy times, but averaged to 1/3. They also generally had more freedom, but far less safety nets.

I work 40 hours a week pushing carts at walmart.
It's not that bad really, I get to be in my thoughts all day and hatch eggs in Pokemon Go.
I wouldn't want to do this forever though but it's not all that difficult or stressful, my only complaint is they only allow us to take two 15 minute breaks and one hour long lunch break a day which is bullshit.
All the walking must be really good exercise for me though, before this I was a hiki who sat down all day everyday.
