I was awoken today by thunder and lightning that sounded like a building collapse outside my window, it was happening quickly, and without pause.
I counted roughly 30 lighning strikes in a window of 5 minutes, all very close and of equally unbelievable power and amplitude.
Hail was being dumped the size of gumballs, so rapid that the sky was glittering. Winds appeared to be at least 50mph, the trees were bending and cracking. Water in the toilet undulating up and down due to the absolute violent and abrupt change in atmospheric pressure.
Todays average temperature was in the upper 80s (F).. After 5 minutes, the episode ended without any sort of winding down, everything went back to normal, just a few less trees - some hail in the streets melting under the summer sun.
I have never seen anything like this happen in my life, this is not normal.
Side note, anyone else feel unusually depressed today? Im starting to publicly blogpost my female emotions to see if there is some mass brainwave fucking going on, see if others experience this.

Last Monday, the 6th, I was walking to my apartment building after work. I work late, was about 10 mins after 2AM. There was a lightning storm that day but it had calmed down. About 10 feet from the building's door I was suddenly blinded for a split second by a brilliant blue light. It was immediately followed with a loud "boom boom" that sounded more like two bombs than thunder. Got into the building as fast as I could then started laughing. I felt like Zeus tried to kill me with a thunder bolt. It had to have struck right near me, probably hit the apartment building.
