>Russia downs 4th armed drone in 3 days targeting its Khmeimim air base in Syria
A drone, apparently carrying explosives, has been downed on approach to Russia’s Khmeimim air base in Syria from the militant-held de-escalation zone in Idlib, becoming the fourth such incident in three days, the military said. Russian air defense systems deployed at Khmeimim detected and neutralized the target early Saturday, the head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria said, in a daily briefing. The hostile unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was, as usual, shot down at a safe distance from the base and the incident caused no injuries or damage, Maj. Gen. Alexei Tsygankov emphasized.
On Friday, the Russian military also shot down two “small-size air targets” that came from the north, from a territory held by illegal armed groups. Earlier on Thursday, yet another aerial target was downed on approach.
>Turkish lawyers want US soldiers arrested for 'ties to coup movement'
Turkish lawyers are calling for US soldiers at Incirlik Air Base to be arrested, alleging they have ties to the movement behind the 2016 coup attempt. They want the base searched via warrants and flights leaving it to be halted. As the political row between Ankara and Washington intensifies, the attorneys from the pro-government Association for Social Justice and Aid ask for the “arrest of the commanders of the US Air Force who are the superiors of the soldiers based at Incirlik and took a role in the failed coup attempt on July 15, 2016.”
The details of the demands have been outlined in court documents filed at the chief public prosecutor’s office in Adana, published online by the Stockholm Center for Freedom, a group of exiled Turkish journalists.
The lawyers accuse the US military of attempting to destroy constitutional order through their activities with a movement led by Fethullah Gülen, who Ankara claims was behind the failed coup attempt on July 15, 2016.
“We want to arrest American soldiers for serious ties to FETO (Gülen movement) or in other words global American terror,” Muhammed Gömük, president of TayDer (Social Justice and Aid) told RT, adding that there are 12 “suspicious persons” implicated.
“We believe that all blames are true, absolutely, because we provided very strong evidence.”
Gömük said the investigation could spread to “lots of American officials,” including soldiers, embassy and consulate personnel. He went on to mention John Bass, the former US ambassador, claiming he had been “chatting with the coup team, according to a video record.”

>'We'll get new friends': Upset Erdogan lashes out at US in speech and article in US paper
Washington has "upset" Turkey with its "unilateralism and disrespect," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a rally. He also wrote in the New York Times that Ankara will be forced to look for "new friends and allies." Speaking to a crowd in his hometown of Rize on Saturday, Erdogan addressed the recent US decision to sanction two Turkish officials over the detention of American pastor Andrew Brunson, who has been held in Turkey since 2016 over claims that he was linked to the failed coup attempt in July of that same year.
>"If the US is turning its back on us...choosing a pastor instead, sorry...we continue our path with decisive steps," Erdogan said, as quoted by Reuters. "This treatment by America of its strategic partner has annoyed us, it has upset us."
Erdogan's speech came after the New York Times published an op-ed by the Turkish president, in which he said the US has "repeatedly and consistently failed to understand and respect the Turkish people's concerns," adding that "in recent years, our partnership has been tested by disagreements."
He went on to say that unilateral actions against Turkey by the US will "only serve to undermine American interests and security" and said that Washington must "give up the misguided notion that our relationship can be asymmetrical and come to terms with the fact that Turkey has alternatives.
"Failure to reverse this trend of unilateralism and disrespect will require us to start looking for new friends and allies," he said, noting that the relationship between the two NATO member states "could be in jeopardy" unless the US changes course.

>erdo still hasn't stepped in for idlib yet Friendship ended with america, Eurasia is my friend now
Looks like Abadi folded and cucked out to Americans and agreed to the list of demands. Reminder if he agrees and disbands the PMU (which has legitimacy and popular support), when a situation arises and the PMU regroups, they'll call it a terrorist organization and bomb it from the sky.
This is list of American demands.. I'll post an update in next reply.
You wish it was drumpf, it's just erdog and his cronies horribly mishandling a currency crisis. Asian markets will open in less than 12 hours, something needs to be done to prevent the lira from breaching the 7,1 mark. This seems like a massive blow to Iranian influence in Iraq. Surely the PMU can't just drop the ball this quickly, and surely there will be reactions from other actors there, right? August will be a hot month, jesus christ.
What can happen to the PMU? The point is it's built from the ground up by the support of the people so what can the president do? Are the US heading for another round in Iraq?
Easton Cruz
What's the nationality of the ISIS nigger in this vid? He looks like the 'Unforgivable' negro.

>we‘re totally not an occupation we swear >also do what we say and pay us tribute or we bomb u daily reminder that Amrika deserves bothing less than a Nuclear Holocaust and thinking they are your friend is the first step to servitude.
Iraq should turn around and demand the immediate departure of all American personnel and institutions from Iraqi soil.
>taping their squad briefings surely that's going to bite them in the ass soon, right?
Austin Rogers
Where is our resident Iraqi and what does he think about this?
Christian Cruz
The PMU was created after a fatwa by Ayatollah Sistani saying that it is time for the youth to defend the country against the terrorists. Overnight they had tens of thousands of Shia recruits.
But over the last few years, their coordination with Iraqi army, American forces and IRGC has made them a semi government entity with lots of weapons and fighting experience.
I don't think the government will be or should be able to dictate the direction of the PMU. They should only answer to Ayatollah Sistani.
Brayden Edwards
>disbanding the fucking PMU after they saved Iraq because of muh muh muh iran
Two steps from another open insurrection.
Lincoln Sanders
>I don't think the government will be or should be able to dictate the direction of the PMU. Why not? They officially integrated the pmu in the iraqi army a while ago, by law, the iraqi pm is in control of them
Gabriel Adams
>They should only answer to Ayatollah Sistani.
Absolutely not, all armed groups should answer to the state or you're begging for civil war, imagine the government wanted something but Sistani didn't, and he has thousands of armed men answering to him? either you have a civil war or you'll become like South American countries where the government is a meme and mafias control the country
and the state should answer to it's people, not cia mafia
Alexander Adams
>Absolutely not, all armed groups should answer to the state Why though? Everything needs checks and balances, a Militia can answer to the people when the State doesn‘t anymore (newsflash: when your state bows to foreign dictate a Militia will still serve the people) The State failed the Iraqi people in 2014, and it is failing them now.
Of course an Egyptoid with a long history of foreign occupation wouldn‘t understand

i guess russian gonna do it cuz they r more powerful than saa

iii-it mean there would be new dead burgers video soon in iraq, right ?

>Be Iraq >be invaded and created into a vassal state by the US >time passes, now ISIS niggers are on the war march, nearly at the gates of Baghdad >US nowhere to be found, claims ISIS are "little league terrorists, all is fine, deep concern" >Iraqi army literally collapsing >Ayatollah Sistani issues a fatwa, and the PMU are formed >PMU drive the ISIS niggers out of Iraq with what's left of the Iraqi Army >What is left of the competent portion of the iraqi army are killed or maimed in Mosul >now the biggest forces in the country are the BIJI BIJI GURDS and the PMU, with the PMU being integrated into the chain of command of the iraqi army >US get's out of bed and says "IRAN BAD, GIB TRIBUTE, DISBAND PMU" >Abadi actually fucking does it.
>After all that shit the kurds have pulled off and still pulling off, there is some retard who still hopes that they somehow redeem themselves. It's fake btw.
Joseph Clark
PMU are Shiite nigger cannonfodder, they're only good for dying in masses against ISIS and clearing minefields. They're not good for actually maintaining stability or governing a country, especially considering they are durka durkas that worship kharamenei and Iran. Iraqi army is actually civilised and trained by Americans, and they took back Kirkuk from the Kurdish subhumans
Justin Green
Agreed, one man with as much firepower as the state will become selfish and he and his friends will become the ultra-rich at tremendous cost to the people
>Everything needs checks and balances
Holding the state hostage with the threat of civil war is not "checks and balances"
> a Militia can answer to the people when the State doesn‘t anymore
hopeful thinking
>The State failed the Iraqi people in 2014
The state didn't exist since 2003
>and it is failing them now.
And the last thing it needs is a militia stronger than the army to challenge it's authority
Easton Long
>he thinks Shiite ectremists abswer to sistani
Lmao they hate systani, sistani is a saddamist who hates wilayat al faqih and Iranian government even though he is Iranian himself
Thomas Collins
>Iraqi army is actually civilised and trained by Americans Yes, im aware of golden division and their 60% casualty rate in Mosul. > they took back Kirkuk from the Kurdish subhumans Not hard to take land back when the kurds flee at the first sign of trouble. >They're not good for actually maintaining stability or governing a country, especially considering they are durka durkas that worship kharamenei and Iran What's wrong with that? The iranian and American factions fight over influence with Iraq and then types like Sadr will present a better middle ground of hating both, better than that cuck Abadi.
>what's wrong with literal 80 IQ foreign puppets worshipping a foreign power
Lmao no. PMU should make themselves useful and go to Syria so they can keep dying as cannon fodder it's the only thing they're good at.
Luis Cox
Yes user, i agree, the Iraqis deserve to be used and abused by the Americans for the rest of their existence because they lost a war waged on the basis of horseshit.
>what's wrong with literal 80 IQ foreign puppets worshipping a foreign power >''You should start worshipping US!!''
US is no foreign power?

>used and abused by the Americans
Americans aren't doing that though. America and gulf states donated billions to help rebuild Iraq at a recent conference, meanwhile Iran zilch all.
Americans withdrew from Iraq in 2011, now its time for Iran to withdraw
Camden Turner
Iraq has one step away from total destruction and they had taken over almost the entire country other than the holy shrines at samarra and Karbala and Najaf.
Iraq owes it's existence to Ayatollah Sistani and Iranian help. I might agree that Iran could be selfish in it's motives but Sistani is 1 million % better than any politician. He has no interest in power or in ruling. This is a what a Jew shill sounds like. PMU is the only competent force in Iraq and that's why the US fears it and wants it dissolved. The army were mostly deserters and traitors who sold their weapons to ISIS on purpose. The army is plagued by corruption.
PMU saved Iraq. Army is incompetent and are the first to run away. PMU fights out of religious and moral duty. Army fights for money and belong to whoever pays them more. (Mostly because iraq is poor as fuck and people will at the very least look the other way if you give them enough USD)
I have Iraq stories I heard from locals when I visited it. (Been there twice) will post if anyone's interested.
Andrew Allen
The only American puppets in Iraq are Kurds and they got btfo so they aren't an issue right now
Just because they did their job and fought ISIS doesn't mean they should be given a free pass to impose an Iranian agenda over Iraq and promote their shit backwards ideology. Half their leaders are "Iraqis" with Iranian citizenship who fought alongside Iran in the 80's and killed Iraqi soldiers
Brandon Brooks
>Sistani is 1 million % better than any politician. He has no interest in power or in ruling.
AHAHHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA Funny meme fren
Joshua Robinson
Are you the cancerous iraqi diaspora in any case?
Alexander Thompson
You don't actually believe that do you? Iraq's oil is owned by china anyway so it's not like the Iraqi government can hand it over even if they wanted to. And the demand to dissolve the PMU is one of Sairoon, the largest electoral alliance
Kayden Kelly
>Just because they did their job and fought ISIS That wouldnt have been their "job" if the Americans didnt leave Iraq out to the wolves and if the Iraqi army didnt completely fucking collapse.
Juan Richardson
Also confirmed: Their GoPro sponsorship finally came through. They've answered our prayer. /yg/ can go on after /sg/
If those demands are real, that would pretty much mean total submission to US.
US don't care about Iraqis. The only thing they care about is geopolitics. Somehow US has made its mind and determined Iran as ultimate enemy besides KSA being the biggest supporter of western terrorism.
Cameron Gray
>Sadr's coalition wants to disband the PMU last and final (you)
The Americans left cause every Iraqi parliamentarian demanded they leave. The Iraqi army didn't exist in 2014, there were 60,000 ghost soldiers existing only on paper receiving full wages and the rest didn't even show up for duty they were only there so Maliki and the other Iranians could keep stealing public money and siphoning it off into their pockets.
>Al-Monitor (Arabic: المونيتور) is a media site launched in February 2012 by the Arab American entrepreneur Jamal Daniel[1] and based in Washington, DC.
Great rebuttal, tard. Nothing from the Ayatollah's life suggests that he cares about material wealth.
Muh Iranian agenda. Nah they're all Iraqi and want an Iraq first policy and don't want to be subservient to America. It might surprise you that not everyone wants to a Jew slave. I guess that's what they have in common with the Iranians.
Elijah Sullivan
Are you actually saying Iraq is better off as an Iranian puppet state? How do you reconcile this with your beliefs about national sovereignty?
Tyler Evans
>Iraq first >hadi al-amiri has a majoos wife and majoos mutt babies and speaks fluent Farsi
I don't care how thicc the Persian milkers are, he's a traitor
Also they fucking carry around pictures of khomeini how can they be "Iraq first"?
Daniel Long
When will the civilized world step in to defend KARA BOĞA from the Amerimutt economic war?
Also stop pretending like you're against Jews. Shiite militias killed hundreds of Palestinians in the aftermath of 2003 and Israel sent weapons to Iran in the 80's. every Shiite Iraqi I've met hates Palestinians, yet always falls back on the "y-y-you're the Jew!!!" argument to justify their cuckoldry to a foreign power
Ethan Howard
Lmao, some Turk got into some NBC journalist's twitter
