The US had used Islamic extremists to provide shock troops for resource wars and drug traffickers to fund them. AQ and its allies worked with the US directly in Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Chechnya prior to 9/11. The most obvious tie being Ali Mohamed the SF/CIA/AQ trainer. The pattern being that the US used Jihad to capture client states and pipeline routes from Russia's sphere of influence.

The 9/11 plot itself was clearly known by a lot of people who didn't show up to work that day and tens of thousands who conducted insider training. Egyptian intelligence, the Taliban, and others warned the US government about the plot ahead of time, but were ignored.

After the attacks the US entered Afghanistan. Pakistani ISI got the Taliban to stand down, which gave the illusion of a Technowar victory. AQ "escaped" if they weren't evacuated. The first US bases were built along the the UNOCAL planned pipeline route.

After 9/11 the US and its allies backed Islamic terrorists (AQ/ISIS) in Libya, Syria, and Yemen.

All of this together says that AQ has been an instrument of US policy both before and after 9/11. If it wasn't an inside job we forgave them relatively quickly. Ask me questions please.
