WW3 will be wild.
Article states that it's almost exclusively driven by retarded rent prices in liberal shitholes.
Because millennials don't want to work for what they want.
Instead of learning a trade in some sort of STEM field or fields such as plumbing or welding, they want to major Gender Studies and expect to find a career that pays 40k a year.
Baby boomer would buy that back in the day -2 for the price of 1 plus an additional free lot.
Because they want to live like bugmen and "live" in big cities. It's easy to afford housing if you don't want that.
In the US, I'd imagine it's because of zoning restrictions.
There's the answer. t. 27 year old boomer who easily afforded a house in the suburbs on my salary alone.
nigga you are straight up retarded if you think that it is the people with gender study degrees causing wage stagnation
this is the popular half truth but it's mostly because why the hell would a corporation pay any more than they absolutely need to
they've gotten really good at determining just how little they can pay workers to retain them long enough to hire in replacements for the turnovers
But the rent cartels leverage their city apartments to buy up the commuter towns.
Unless you are happy to live in a dumb fuck hick town then all power to you.
*CRACK* *KSHHHT* *SIPPP*
Man, I just don't unerstand why these damn youngsters don't wanna commute two hours a day to n frum werk. I mean they get way more house fur the money livin' outside the city.
*SIP*
New properties are snapped up by the rich who use it to rent gouge workers so even if new houses are built prices don't drop
>Been working in marketing for 7+ years
>Still only 19 an hour as a market manager while higher ranks make near 6 figures
Wage stagnation is a bitch.
global warming is caused by the jews because they promote ineffective things like restricting the gasses plants need to breathe while suppressing effective things like creating a color tax and subsidizing white products because white stuff reflects light right back through the "greenhouse" back into space, it's only if the light touches something black or with color that light frequency shifts to heat which can get trapped.
It's a fifteen minute drive to my workplace. Oh wait, you fell for the "all the jobs are in the city" meme.
Long commutes are hell.
t. has to commute two hours each way
Better than living in a "diverse" shithole and having 50% of my budget go towards rent alone.
nah bro you just suck and are probably gay
Rising rent prices are going to further the cultural divide in the US. Many people come from small towns, graduate, and then move to a big city somewhere like NY or DC or Denver or some shit.
What happens when only rich kids with parents with good connections and lots of money could even fathom going to a new city, doing shitty internships for like two years, working for 35 thousand a year at 28, and paying 2000 a month on rent? All of which is the new norm.
I bet more people will just stay in their hometown.
40k for a 'career' is dogshit.
College councilors constantly spout how engineers get 65k a year. Jews will swindle you down to 45k in my area collectively.
We live in a service/spreadsheet economy now. We produce nothing. My friend who graduated as a cs major can't even find a job.
Fuck you.
I love how Boomers think working two hours away from your home is a character building norm. They pat eachother on the back.
Quit buying so many avocados and maybe you will be able to afford a house at 22 like your old man.
The jobs in Big Data are in the cities. I'd like to move to where you have in mind, but I have no desire to start a new career from scratch.
Approximate location? If you lost your job today, how long would it take to to find another in your city with at least the same pay & benefits?
Cities are shit, but better labor demand. There's no loyalty today, so people are forced to change jobs a lot more than ever.
Because Trump is spending like a drunken sailor and running up the inflation rate.
Can't wait for the American equivalent of NatSoc.
>Boomers buy a large amount of real estate
>Chinese and other rich foriegners buy up the rest
>Goverment builds new houses, just to give them to foriegners
Geee Billy, I don't know why housing might be so expensive.
That's when you apply to other jobs and leverage the wages they'll pay against their boss.
Lol one of my co-workers commutes a fucking hour back and forth and was hired in by a temp agency. They want to hire him now but want to pay him less than what the temp agency is paying him lol this world is so fucked up.
It's been like this since 70s mate. It's just been progressively getting worse.
Sandniggers, kikes and boomers.
About as long as it takes to make a phone call.
Or about as long as it takes to walk up to the manager, look him in the eyes, and firmly shake his hand?
>Because they want to live like bugmen and "live" in big cities.
This is true, millenials are gentrifying all the nigger infested shitholes driving them out more into rural and suburban areas. How do we stop these faggots from running niggers out of their natural habitats?
Create better paying jobs in the areas you want them to work.
Those hours you spend on the road are unpaid, and you never get them back. 40 work hours = 50 work hours when you include the commute or more if you work overtime.
Well the problem is some jobs are exclusively in major metros. If your talents are in computer science or anything creative you're fucked.
it's the loans, dummy. your (((landlord))) bought that building after it got passed around by (((speculators))) and now you're stuck paying his interest
>desirable markets
i'm calling bullshit on this. my brother lives in a small midwestern city and studio apartments are still $1500 minimum. and in the kind of places where you need a car, mind you
what's buggier, living in an apartment near your job or living in a giant plywood box that cost you $750k 2 hours from your job?
Good point there... I don't like city life but I still prefer to live there and pay expensive rent, than literaly giving 2 or so hours to my employer every day, pay for car/gas (and becoming fucking enslaved to it since no car : no job), sacrifice relations with my family, etc.
>Why can't millenials afford housing?
Because they are to lazy to build housing themselves.
>robots do all the work
>give me UBI
>NO! Using a hammer gives me blisters
>call in sick because of blisters
>get fired.
Seriously, it not easy. I'm in no way suggesting that it's easy. It's hard, very hard. But if you buy a cheap lot in an unattractive area, and build a nice house. You are sticking it to both the (((landlord))) and the (((banker))). And their wealth is dependent on inflated prices on housings, so their personal economy suffers when you deflate those prices by, at the same time, increasing supply (you just made a home) and decreasing demand (you no longer need a home, you've got one).
Bonus points, get some like minded buddies to buy cheap lots in the same 'unattractive' area at the same time. Help one another to build a really nice neighborhood. Bang, the area is no longer unattractive. Wanna jew it a bit - you don't really have to be a jew to do so. Buy a double lot, they are really cheap in them 'who the fuck want to live there' areas. Sell extra lot once it's become attractive real estate.
t. come-late boomer, been there, done that (apart from the jew-extra-lot thing. Should have, would have made good monies)
Well, at least rents appear to be not increasing as much this year as the last two years. Boomers are starting to unload their real estate.
The 2020's will probably see lower cost housing. I think we are entering the peak soon or already have.
Baltimore would be cozy with 0 niggers. Have lots for as low as $1.
Too many old people.
>Why can't millenials afford housing?
Jews and "diversity."
>sold off
Roundabout way of say repo'd by the banks that gave these fuckers reverse mortgages so they could take monthly vacations.
>build house
>not up to code
>bulldozed while you're still in it
Oh wow, Trump gets elected and real wages plummet.
Who could have possibly seen this coming?!
