every year or so i like to do a pipl search on my name, user names, etc so that i can delete / rename / etc. any public-facing accounts that have been inadvertently linked with my public identity.
i think it's important when doing this also to do a bunch of bogus searches in case pipl tries to "connect the dots" on relationships that it hadnt yet deduced. i do think it's scary how good these public records are getting.
as part of this scrub i think it's also important to consider non-public accounts that also happen to be linked to your public identity but which are on sites that are potentially hackable. e.g. if the database on a certain site were hacked and made public now suddenly your email address is there and possibly your entire activity log on said site (e.g. what happened on ashley madison). so i think it's also good practice to try to change these things. it's always possible that the site youre updating doesnt actually delete the old data -- only appends the new data, but it's better than not doing anything at all.
i'm also terrified that there is some marketing firm out there that is selling a data set of { FirstName, LastName, SSN, IP Address, Browser Fingerprint }
>just type your name and your internet alias and see if you have been doxxed yeah right not many people are that stupid my dude
Jack Morales
if you're only using one alias across all sites you're already fucked
Ryder Brown
What kind of sites could be used to dox you, I've used my email on many places but does it matter? If all I've been doing was say playing vidya. What should we hide?
David Jones
Pipl.com is good if you only have a username or some small pieces of info to start doxing people with but Fastpeoplesearch.com is great if you already have a name/location.
Jonathan Carter
I don't have social media and all my usernames are different, the only thing that gets my real name is when I order items off amazon or newegg
I learned over a decade ago to not associate real name with any internet alias or social media.
Wyatt Barnes
>posting any place that requires registration of any kind
Deserve it desu
Gavin Cooper
This is solid advice but I'll add you should use a different email address to register every account you make. I recommend tutanota but whatever you do don't use (((gmail))), (((yahoo))) or anything like that.
Jason Young
The problem with these fagets is their social media presence, something plenty of Jow Forums probably doesn't have.
Angel Rogers
thatsthem.com tries to index people by IP address :-X
Noah Bailey
And how effective do you think that is.

Damnit I'm never phoneposting again
Brayden Thomas
obviously not but to me it signals that it's just a matter of time until you can search by subnet mask, which would be more persistent, or by browser fingerprint, which tends to be very unique. probably can already do it with non-publicly available data, desu. my guess is most of these sites like fastpoeplesearch, thatsthem, etc. arent doing their own crawling and collating but just frontends on some marketing dataset they purchased
Carter Roberts
Google already sorts the entirety of the internet by browser ginger print. If you've ever been to google.com or used one of their web services on someone else's website, you're catalogued like a dog. Ultimately the issue isn't a bunch of Antifa losers unmasking you for social stigma to dethrone you. The fear is that facebook and google will do this themselves soon enough.
I used to be a public figure but had my career destroyed a couple years ago for wrong think. Since then I've gone completely off the grid. I google myself regularly and the big algorithm in the sky seems to lose interest in you after a few years. The stuff from the past is still out there but buried and irrelevant now.
My advice is start building fake personas for OP-SEC and detach as much as possible from the machine. I haven't used my real identity in anything since I left society about five years ago and I've been fortune that nothing has popped up anywhere about me or any of my locations.
To live like this though, you must make a conscious decision to do it. You must not use social media in anyway. And you must not put any of your real info or deets into any digitally consumable medium.
Zachary Reed
Same way people communicated before social media fuckwit.

Smart phones collect everywhere you travel and every personal interaction you have. Your PC doesn't.
Joseph Butler
All my real friends talk through text or phone. FB was only for superficial bullshit
I thought my industry was committing suicide by destroying itself through censorship, promoting purely on diversity and basically making products only for itself by untalented crazy people that basically pissed on our consumers.
For that, the media and the local socialists in town ganged up on me and created a lie about me I couldn't dispute due to social pressure and their threatening a couple other people. When you watch Stalin show trial films and you see people admitting guilt to things they never did. I now understand that after dealing with these people.
This was around GamerGate when all of this was in it's infancy and no one was really awake yet. So I was one of the first intellectuals purged in this bullshit. So I just completely dropped out of society because I knew I would be a target if I stayed since I was one of the first ones to throw rocks at them and poke holes in their boat. But at the time, I was so INTJ about it that I became one of the biggest public enemies for doing it.
The whole thing was madness to be honest.
Cameron Turner
I hope you're finding success in whatever new endeavours you partake in now.

Going in for a BG check and drug check on wednesday, I'll let you know the results. Not worried, people want workers/sellers and i can do both.
...If a person were genuinely wishing to avoid any criminal misuse of his data... *Find the cheapest alternative devices. *Stop cursing phoneposters. You're setting up things you won't believe when you carry a phone. It creates algorithms that are recorded and then accessed by companies like Facebook (including all the Silicon Valley monopolies) when you give them your data. They know where you've been and who's devices you've been near NOT just called or interacted with on-line or down a couple of places in a network. It makes complicated deductions based on this data and the data of those around you and comes to conclusions about you. They want everything to interact NOT just for the interaction - that's often only bait. But for the data that can be deduced from your device being part of that interaction in that place/time. Source and deploy le shit phone & common sense. Sec com is anonymous com.
Imagine being on your laptop. Now imagine carrying your laptop everywhere you go. Now you have access to use the services/conviences more readily, yes? Therefore, you will. Ppl don't normally walk around with their pc, on facebook, at work or parents 24/7. But, your phone, you take everywhere with you. Facebook just admitted by even having the app on your phone, even if your not a user...it's collecting everything on your phone...even on me (If we were frens and I was in your phone(even though I DON'T use social media myself). They, and other things, collect all of your contacts, messages, videos (even the ones you didn't like and deleted) same with pics. Using a laptop for nonsense. And leaving it at home, not the same amount of info is put out or access allowed. Understand? A cell phone is about making phone calls...not having a computer in your pocket collecting 24/7/365. You can get that with a flip phone that has zero/very limited access to the internet. It's about discipline.
Brandon White
Oi love (You) too toothpaste.

The only "social media" I use is Jow Forums, and I don't link anything I post here to my real life identity. I've also cut out things like webmail and tried to start using cash cards online, but they make you register an address. I need to find one that doesn't require an address to make online purchases. Other than that I've gone fully over to cash for IRL transactions.
Next step is to ditch my dumbphone and get a PO box. Only thing holding me back is my current employer insists that I maintain a phone number (might go to a landline, first, so at least I stop getting GPS tracked).
>It's about discipline. Problem is normies have zero discipline for OP/COMSEC. Hell even most people who should know better don't do it.
Ryan Collins
Checked. It's sad but that lifestyle is something we will all have to adapt to if we want to avoid having our online activities exposed to the masses by SJWs and corporations. Most anons already have a major headstart on normal fags but gen Z is totally fucked. In 10 years they will be publicly shamed for every politically incorrect statement they have ever made on social media.
Gabriel Evans
In some societies it certainly wouldn't surprise me if such behavior became labeled by state as subversive and anti-social. What most immediately springs to mind of course is China and their administration's social control system that they developed which once launched will punish and reward by allowing citizens basic rights as freedom of movement. If successful I could see similar programs spread elsewhere as all information gathering tools are already in place.
Luis Jones

>Just get a flip phone, and use it as it's supposed to be used...as a phone, not a computer. I already do, but I'm concerned that it's still an NSA spying device and it may have a secret GPS antenna. At the very least cell towers can triangulate it and I want that shit gone.
It will absolutely be labeled anti-social, remember when companies were demanding social media accounts and passwords to hire people a couple years ago? That's why the second amendment is so important, so that you can resist the jackboot thugs when they come to lock you up for not making enough normiebook posts in the last month.
Ayden Robinson
i dont have any accounts anywhere, i just post on here. I deleted my facebook like years ago, never had the other social media.
I am like a ghost, there is no life to ruin in any case, i only work jobs that don't care about stuff like that

>Problem is normies have zero discipline for OP/COMSEC I just think they either don't understand how bad it really is, are too addicted to it (and I was, I had to deny myself, and I literally had both smart phone and social media withdraws), or just don't care. Also LMFAO! The director of counter-intel at the FBI didn't either XD >Strzok >(((Burner phone))) >Smart phone >(((Smart))) >Keeps phone for a year... >Takes everywhere >Sets up the future president Director of counter-intel...

>they're BTFO
>I can see my industry is dying and decide to escape
>They come back after some time with some crazy lies about me while threatening a person I was having an affair with and some other local people
>so burnt out and didn't care, left and took the heat to protect those people
>I was socially destroyed but whatever.exe I didn't care much anyway
The essays I wrote, reality several years down the line turned out exactly as I predicted it would. Meanwhile I'm /comfy/ on my own farm I never would have been able to afford if I stayed.
So in a bizarre way it all worked out. But you don't appreciate their evil until you experience it first hand.

And the only other way is complete denial of all communication devices, including newer cars. That's the ONLY way.
Colton Morales
Smoke signals and hand-delivered telegrams.
William Harris

Compared to the average person, hard as fuck, I don't have any social media accounts so that helps. But still doubt it would be at all difficult. I don't see much value in doing so desu I'm pretty insignificant at this point.

this.

>it may have a secret GPS antenna It does lol, they all do. But don't worry, so does your car, laptop, t.v., smart toaster, router, (((smart))) whatever etc; >At the very least cell towers can triangulate it They can, that's how it works >and I want that shit gone Can't. Literally gotta go Amish XD And even then, if you piss 'those boys' off. They can see you from the air...and space. Just, don't piss them off and be a threat to the country, they can't invade your personal life unless your some kind of suspected terrorist. And they need proof, not suspicion. >DON'T BE A TERRORIST XD
It's every person on earth >do you know someone who is vague about where they are going. Yes, thousands. I ask where they are going on holiday and because they are bloody terrorists they decline to give me the hotel name and suit number they just tell me the country, or maybe the town. Those terrorist bastards.
I remember when bitcoin was fifty cents to the dollar. I wanted to drop a hundred bucks on it but hadn't enough food in the cupboard at the time and the concept seemed too good to be true and at time there was not much else to do but buy heroin through darkweb with it. Once in a while I kick myself for not going back to it when I was doing better financially and dropping a bit of coin into it just to see what would happen. C'est la vie.
Ethan Russell
You stupid fuck, it's CONFIRMED that they collect EVERYTHING. Doesn't matter if they're not interested TODAY. Learn to security.
It's the addiction. I had a discussion with my sister the other day about Instagram's privacy policy and app permissions (she brought it up) and even though she agreed with me that it was outrageous, she said she couldn't imagine giving it up. So she's just accepted the tracking. It's like an alcoholic knowing they're destroying their liver, but accepting it because being sober is too much to imagine.
Brody Peterson
>Here in the west we are told by Homeland Security posters (and U.K. equivalents) to report anyone we know has multiple devices (phones) as it is a sure sign that they are.... a terrorist Oi, you gotta loicense for that work phone? What about those ones...who use those phones, to report crimes? I wonder if they are targeted as terrorist as well? I mean, it is the UK, so if your white...I understand. Your country hates you.
Tyler Sanchez
>In 10 years they will be publicly shamed for every politically incorrect statement they have ever made on social media. Nope. The blue checkmarks will be fucked. Pendulums always swing between extremes.

considering ive never had any social media accounts, im good

Things can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent.
Ethan Bailey
I remember when it hit 10 cents. I don't regret not getting in though, because at the time I was also dealing with not having enough food and school costs.
Now though, that I'm debt free, I'm going in. I think this shit's got at least two more pump and dump cycles in it, and it's got a lot of rich people heavily invested (Winklevoss twins). They won't let it go to zero until they're fully divested, so I'm watching their wallets and keeping track of their trades. I'm expecting it to hit at least 100k in the next few years, if not 500k.
Aaron Smith
Only if you're shorting. If you barbell strategy and hedge properly, you can go pretty much indefinitely.

What is email or messengers
Joseph Nguyen
>I have nothing to hide lol when you say you have nothing to hide, you are actually saying "I think I am doing nothing wrong and so I have nothing to hide."
The thing is that you CANT think "I think I am doing nothing wrong" because you arent the one who decide it
Juan Parker
Rats are most vicious and aggressive when cornered. SJWs are cornered.
>it's CONFIRMED that they collect EVERYTHING. Doesn't matter if they're not interested TODAY. Learn to security You retarded douchebag! That's what I just stated. Learn to read! Like I pointed out...fagg-a-rito, it's what you 'allow yourself' to give them. (You) decide to use these 'services/convinces'....you can 'decide' to 'not use them' as well.
>So she's just accepted the tracking Make sure she know they have EVERY picture that was EVER taken on her phone, same with vids. Even the ones, she didn't save. It may change some things. This is also why im against ALL children using social media as well. Imagine the shit, they take from these kids...cams, pics, mics, vids...

Strange how people just can't seem to grasp that's it not the end of the world if they're not on social media
Kevin Torres
I mean if you have more than 2 phones, you're probably doing some sketchy shit, most likely drug dealing, or having an affair. Even 2 is odd unless one is an employer issued phone.

Where can user find your essay? there are socialists in my uni, and i want to know how you btfo them, your essay could help probably

I use my name for my google account. If someone really wanted to, they could find enough to ruin my life. Little do they know I lost everything 3 years ago so I don't give a fuck

No social media whatsoever.
I'm quite proud of that shit honestly, many social pressures to get an instashit, facefuck, twatter, etc.

Im not afraid. Funny thing is i Know both right and leftists people and they both Know exactly what i think.
I Always speak My mind. Not only on the internet.
And if some outsider wana play though i have the right to carry conseald weap and i wouldnt hesitate killing a person who attacks me becouse of My veiws.

My essays have been shoah'd off the internet in a very freaky thing. I'm not sure what happened with that as when I left, I completely left and haven't said anything to anyone since (aside from a few who keep me as a ghost) but they've been deleted from the websites hosting them.
Also, I wouldn't recommend what I did to you guys to deal with leftists. I went straight at them and logically destroyed them. But they don't operate in logic. They operate by galvanizing all the lesser people around them to give them power. That's all leftism and socialism is. It's just a power device for sociopaths to manipulate idiots.
I was a hyper bluepilled liberal until I saw this stuff play out in front of my eyes.
