I have two children. Intentionally "going it alone" is daft. There are countless situations where a second parent makes the situation so much easier. I don't know where these people get the idea that managing an infant (or even older children) on your own is reasonable. Certainly, if you get stuck in such a situation, you can manage it with patience and will. But two makes everything so much smoother.
