itt though i want everyone to explain why they like the particular painting, piece, or poem, or whatever it is.
I post this Aivazovsky painting because I think it shows his understanding of beauty even more intensely than his seascapes, the two bundles of trees create an enclosure of intimacy accentuated by the almost impressionistic depiction of the travelers, their vague beauty being the centre of attention makes your eyes wander for more concrete components, and the pale bleak light above the forest acts as an impulse to return to the centre where human things are. the painting also points in direct line towards the path they are going down, while putting them at the end of the path such that the people are seen as the horizon itself, rather than the subject from which a horizon emerges, contrasting the Spenglerian Faustian image of will to that of the Russians, wherein the merging of the brothers on the plane(the sky is a constant reminder to return to the flat dimension of the scene, the trees ethereal landscapes above them) takes the central focus.
you don't have to user, i love just seeing the paintings and pieces of music, i was just asking for people to give the reasons why they love the art because I think it helps other anons see the beauty in them
I've seen this one is person On cardboard,, like 4 colors. Titled "alone". (Not the artists title) Best interpretation is that its a prostitute- after giving love to everyone on pay day that would have her, she retired to her room, exhausted and spent. >Henri de toulouse-lautrec. His story is as amazing as his art.
>while putting them at the end of the path such that the people are seen as the horizon itself, rather than the subject from which a horizon emerges, contrasting the Spenglerian Faustian image of will to that of the Russians, wherein the merging of the brothers on the plane(the sky is a constant reminder to return to the flat dimension of the scene, the trees ethereal landscapes above them) takes the central focus. Why would the figures ever be seen as subjects from which the horizon emerges ? that makes no real sense at all, and everything that follows is pretty much pretentious word salad, why don't you stop being such an insufferable prick ?
this stuff is amazing! what happened to art? i know everyone says "muh subjectivity in art", but this stuff is just better. anyone making stuff like this still?
