in the middle of the US it is a far bigger problem than on the coasts, but a little bit of extra iodine won't hurt you.

although you should take a week or so of double doses to get caught up on a long term acute deficiency, then after that cut it back down to normal supplementation levels.

this might have been the first time i legitimately took advice from this site. one effect i noticed immediately was that i didnt have to get up halfway through the night to piss. i havent noticed any difference in energy levels or concentration, but i dont have to piss at night so i'm sold.
