During this summer, various Professors, Department Heads, and Administrators at America's colleges have been meeting "causally" (i.e. secretly) to implement a new "Socialized" Grade Point Average system.
It will work like this: Any student with a GPA above 3.0 will have the tenth-points above 3.0 "pooled" or "socialized" for redistribution to students whose GPA are "most needy." This must be done, say the college employees "to be fair."
FLOOD ALL CONGRESSMEN AND SENATORS OFFICES WITH CALLS TO STOP THIS MADNESS!!!

Any student who has a 4.0 GPA, will lose the tenth-points from 3.0 to 4.0. which will be given to students with the lowest GPA's first, bringing them up as high as 3.0. if there are enough points to re-distribute.

Yes it is real. when we contacted employers,they did not take kindly to the idea of such "socialization." One CEO from a Fortune 100 firm told us "This is not good for students or businesses. We in the business community need to know the people we're hiring are actually capable. We use college grades as a major indicator of that. If grades are arbitrarily altered to make all students equal, how will we in the business community know what we're getting? We'll have to implement our own testing systems to see if potential employees are truly skilled -- and weed-out the failures who were passed by such foolish college efforts."
When informed that a major Executive from the business community took such a position, an Assistant Dean replied "That's clearly a racist thing to do. Businesses who choose to test potential employees for actual abilities are merely re-implementing their white supremacist, merit-based employment. Meritocracy is a racist construct - and racist testing will not be upheld by the courts."

I remember a student, even with grade inflation managed to have a gpa that came just below 2.0 at graduation. So the uni went around to the profs for all the courses he ever took trying to find someone willing to up his grade. This ingenious new system would solve that problem - temporarily.
