Communism is only good for the first year, then people realise that they actually more.
Also that picture is shit. Its just a block of apartments next to each other. Its nothing groundbreaking.
What is that ugly picture? Something about the building and the emptiness is depressing
Looks like a prison or something.
Look, they had good music, parades, monuments and asthetics but their architecture was soul crushing
t. capitalist swines
Fuck off, nigger
A mistake, yes.

Look at those soulless houses. All identical, all made by some bureaucratic planning commission. This romanticized portrait, while still depressing, hides the immeasurable human misery behind the glossy Vanderbilt. People working for their entire lives in dead end jobs assigned by the state, living off a handful of beets and vodka for an entire week.
Facade not Vanderbilt. I swear my phone is retarded, or maybe it’s just me
I know it's hard, but you have to move on
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened

>only capitalists need trees or comfortable gardens
yes, compared to a comfortable, nice village this looks like suffering
human aren't meant to live in beehives; that's why they turn them to shit.
Communist Bloc housing looks comfy tbqh. Assuming all your neighbors are white
Why can't Russians plant trees?
>Look at those soulless houses. All identical, all made by some bureaucratic planning commission
Almost reminds me of housing projects in the US
Imagine f every building everywhere you go was just as bad as the worst housing in America. That’s communism. An endless expanse of sadness.
Don't confuse the Soviet era with communism. Communism is a horribly wasteful and inefficient economic system that makes people starve to death. Not everything about the Soviet Era was bad - commieblocks seem kinda comfy - but communism was the worst part of the Soviet Era and nearly destroyed its part of the world.

Comrade commissar!
Where be cars?
Where be electricity?
Where be plumbng?
Where is foodnik?
Yeah, except they were really no worse than contemporary shitty council estates in the UK, and frequently better.
What did the commies have against trees?
it really isn't
t. eastern Europe
>Commies will never experienced the joy of living in a nice 3 bedroom home in a comphy and quiet neighborhood.
>No spacious backyard to invite friends over for a BBQ, birthday party or watch a game.
A huge misake
Seriously exist such coins?
AHAHAHAHAHA
Suburbs were created when whites were chased out of their cities by the kikes with Hart/Cellar, block-busting and welfarism. Now you're being chased out of them to newer suburbs. When will the running stop?
Same thing happened over here but through slightly different means.
The USSR never reached full-on communism tho (BROTIP: it's an unbotainable utopian goal).
Also, the know-how to make large prefab apartment buildings was imported from the evil capitalist West.

This is the most accurate pic of modern America
>"i don't have a gun"

They aren't shut inside a garden, they live in a park with some buildings dotted about, bigger than any garden.
Their friends are all right there, so they don't have to drive through endless suburban sameness to see them. They walk, so they bump into people and have a feeling of belonging to a community, while you honk your horn at your neighbour who just cut you up at a junction.
There is no McDonalds in sight thats why its empty and depressing for you
If only there was some mid ground between soulless commie blocks and soulless suburban sprawl...
Wow nice suicide factory
good thing that in crapitalism everything is freedom, based and has soul
Wow, wise american bro. I was not expecting that anyone in USA would know the difference.
Yep, found it, thanks. It's pretty good, too.
you have the freedom to buy it or not
>Five Story Military/Prison block style houses
>No Fire Escapes
You've convinced me, Comrade!
Only up to a point.
My friend was looking for a house in Virginia. Kept being shown massive shitty McMansions in cookie-cutter suburbs, because that was what their budget would buy. There really wasn't anything else. The "free market" had decided for them what kind of house they were supposed to live in.
Commieblocks can look ok with a normal roof and reduced length.
communism is hell on earth and if you think different you deny history for facts
>mfw will never live in a small comfy commieblock apartment enduring a Russian winter sharing heat under a thick blanket cuddling with Anastasia
why even live?
They could buy the land and build their own house however they want.
>No Fire Escapes
Хa! cмeшнoй дpyг! Communist concrete doesn't burn like Capitalist wood.
how is hungary
I kinda like the whole block apartments look, but I also like small dense living space, don't need much room to live
Comfy. Yesterday's storm ended the heatwave.
still kill about 100 millions of their own peoples.
Imagine the smell
I wish we would kill people who don't work
The trees help a lot.
Again, not really. Huge ballache with planning and zoning regulations. It's feasible within certain parameters, sure, but it's certainly not a free-for-all.
I mean, what if they want to live in a commieblock? Not happening.
Implying you know anything about communism besides propaganda.
Best commieblock renovation I could find
Our city architects should take notes. atm they consider commieblocks to be buildings of special cultural importance or some shit.
yeah I vividly recall how commies built walls and used live ammo to keep starving capitalist swine out
oh hang on, that was used on their own subjects
Much better to live in a disgusting capitalist railroad tenement block and lease a house for 99 years from the Queen.
>buildings of special cultural importance or some shit.
Are you shitting me? They are literally mass produced housing blocks created in factories. It's like saying that BiC lighters are artifacts that should be in museums.
Where is this? Who lives in this parking lot in middle of the desert?
glossy Vanderbilt? Is that from the Great Gatsby or something?
Is this norilsk?
Coz thats the only reason to not have any trees on this grass
I don't know why people keep saying there are no trees. If you look there are clearly saplings planted outside the apartment buildings. It's just the middle part that's tree-free.
It's new. The trees haven't grown yet. This isn't hard to understand.
Then again, I'm on Jow Forums. I don't know what I expected.
Brutalism needs nature along it to make it comfy.
Freedom-loving 'Muricans, of course.
You're pretty fucked if you want to pop out for some milk, aren't you?
oh no the capitalist horrors, imagine if everyone lived in a small wooden house with a garden on the suburbs instead
oh the horrors
Ye suburbs are the worst, i have no idea ho people live there
Its like the worst of all worlds possible, they take shitload of space so cars are an absolute must and communications are fucked, too close to eachother to do anything you like anyway, all open so you have shit like mandatory lawn caring, houses made of fucking cardboard in places were hurricanes are a common sight and othe
Its neither private in any meaningful way nor is it socialistic in "easy for communications" way
I have no idea why murka loves them, must be jewish brainwashing
Jebo ti Tito mater. P/S
>Ye suburbs are the worst
The worst thing is being woken up by your neighbor taking a shit upstairs in a fucking commieblock. American suburbs fucking suck because of zoning laws and car loving mentality, not because they are suburbs. They suck because there's nothing in a walking distance. No parks, no shops, no small business., no schools etc.
I live in an apartment block. Can't hear my neighbours at all, unless they crank the music really loud. No everyday noise intrusion at all, even on hot summer nights with all the windows open.
Turns out if you construct apartment buildings properly they're pretty nice to live in. Imagine that, eh?
Also, living in a place with reasonable housing density means that I have every kind of amenity you can think of within a short walk or an even shorter bike ride. On the rare occasions I have to go outside the neighbourhood, there's good public transport. Don't need a car, so that's thousands a year saved.
It wasn’t real communism!
not all apartment blocks are ghetto comieblocks
not all suburbs are ghettos without services, accessible only by a car
Yeah concrete tends to cut down the noise.
Never been in a commieblock unless my hotel in Honolulu counted. City has a lot of brutalist / concrete construction when it was built up in the 70s. Helps withstand natural disasters too. Even in the middle of the city it was nice and quiet inside.
OH MY GOD NO TREES REEEEEEE
The reason most American apartments are shit is because they're made of paper-thin walls to save on construction costs. Well you get what you pay for. The free market decides. Not sure about Hawaii building codes but it seems tough to build there. More high rises than I expected.
And a lot of tough concrete. I mean, I spend more time inside my crib than outside looking at it, so I'd prefer it be comfy and quiet on the inside more than anything else.
Actually, having been to Russia, they very often do have lots of trees around those housing blocks. That picture isn't quite representative.
is he ok?
So good russia still communist
Spent most of my life in these. Old ones (built around 70s) were mostly bretty gud. You could see architects obviously cared for comfort. But the newer ones sucked balls so hard, damn.
>too cold in winter, especially in the corner flats
>too hot in summer
>toilet pipes going through wall in your bedroom, so you hear all that shit flying all the time
>paper-thin walls. From the left, nonstop crying baby. From the right, people fucking. From top, guy shouting at his wife. From the floor, TV sounds because lady living there is old and nearly deaf.
>Shitty windows not holding any wind
>that omnipresent smell of plastic and linoleum
>escalators not working all the time and sometimes crashing with people inside.
>all soul clearly raped from both the land and the people
>maximum people/square mile housing because people are just a number in communism
>zero room for community activities
>everyone 100% reliant on state infrastructure with no alternative
>absolutely zero personality of anything, anywhere
This truly looks like hell.
communsim is less degenerate and wageslaveish as capitalism.
are you ironic? all of this applies to capitalism too
Nice. Our commie blocks look like shit. Rather live in that burger desert suburb
>zero room for community activities
A lot of commie blocks apparently have things other than housing in them.
Like what, stores on the ground floor?
The majority of vegans are commies
The English council estate high rises at least have fires to keep people warm.
Not really, I have a home next to the country club so there's a bar/pool/golf course within 5 minutes walk and a grocery store 15 minutes away on foot. I will usually ride my bike there.
You can tell government built housing by the size of the windows.
No matter all the other details governments put into building public housing, they almost slways use small windows compared to the outside facade square footage.
>zero room for community activities
Yeah, apart from all that OPEN PUBLIC SPACE EVERYWHERE
ke
What gets me is how the section 8 housing that Juan and Tyrone get is better than these.
If their genetic disposition was better they could turn them into comfy little neighborhoods.
But, we are only so far into our American experiment.
Yeah cuz last thing you want to do after a day of work is sit with your neighbors and talk.
At least for me.
Looks boring as shit.
>Yes got, buy a bundle of sticks for $350,000+
>Built in 1964 with tons of upgrades
>Make sure to finance
>Buy it
>Or rent for $2000/mo with rent going up $200 every year
Hmmmm
Unless you live in a major metropolitan area that's not the case brodeo
This is why condos are really the patrician choice.
