About 5% of Finnish citizens have Swedish as their first language. By law, Finland is a bilingual country, and therefore you have the right to Swedish service from the state. But recently those laws have been completely shit on, and in a few years it's gonna suck if you're a Swedish speaker in Finland.

A common term used for the Swedish in schools is "pakkoruotsi", which means forced Swedish and is ment as a downgrading term. An experiment was made by the state in a couple of schools where the students could trade Swedish for another language. But if Swedish speaking schools would try something like that it would be seen as a crime.
>Swedish healthcare diminishes A recent healthcare reform closed most of the competent Swedish hospitals, which means that the assigned hospital for Swedish parts of Finland is over 100 kilometers away. And it is in a part where less than 0.1% can speak Swedish competently, which means that it is nearby impossible to get hospital service in Swedish, and English has to be used instead.
>Swedish courthouses are being closed As Finlands economy isn't doing the best right now, budget cuts are being made (the healthcare reform is one of them), and one of them includes the closing of courthouses. As a result of that, 2 out of the 3 courthouses that operate in Swedish are getting closed. That leaves 1 Swedish speaking courthouse left, which is on Åland and the only one on Åland, so therefore they can't realistically close it.

My impression from visiting universities in finland is that there is an active interest in learning swedish for atleast parts of the finish population (not counting finland-swedes which the majority of my finish friends are)

All Fenno-Swedes I've talked to have been autistic cucks. They're like the Finnish version of Stockholmers, the most retarded and naive lefty-liberals you can imagine. I studied in Västerbotten so there was a lot of Österbotten-FennoSwedes fat the school. None of them knew Finnish fluently either when we met pure Finngolians. I think it should at least be mandatory for them to speak the majority language, but I'm of course in favor of preserving old Swedish dialects.
