This right here is the right answer. It's the same people with a bit of a different mentality because the two countries developed differently (Yugoslavia vs Hoxhaism). For example, Kosovo Albanians are more religious because religion was tied to ethnicity in Yugoslavia and the fact that it was important to keep "other-ness" status against oppression and assimilation attempts by Serbia.

Albanians are a clan based society, so you cannot get them in 1 umbrella, different origins have different traits but generally there are lots of differences so I will try to summarize it:
1) Mainlands Albanians are more upfront and straightforward.
2) Albanians don't band together as much as the Kosovars and are more individualistic( in an already extremely individualistic society)
3) Albanians are more smarter, if you are from Kosovo you are born to be a dumbass
4) Kosovars are more opportunistic, and have more Jewish tendency when it comes to money management.
5) Albanians are a lot more generous, and it's no surprise here when someone treats you to a 500 euro lunch, Kosovars are very stingy

I would expect a Romanian to have a better grasp of Balkan history than this. Serbs were the ethnic majority in Kosovo as early as the late 1800's. Ottoman documents show that throughout the Ottoman period and Serbs were also the clear ethnic majority. It wasn't until Muslim Albanians began breeding like rats that they became the majority.
