I know which is why there needs to be a movement to help the homeless, If I'm not mistaken most homeless people are white these days, meaning we will be helping our own without anyone calling us white supremasists, these people need help and if we give it to them they will help us in return, helping eachover and looking out for our community is a very European thing, we must do what we can.

Yeah they've done this kind of tactic before, if you're big into the social identity theory you can see the patterns, I think one of teh best things we can do right now is help each other and be there for on another, everybody has a sense of disconnection and loneliness, people who are not homeless can remedy this with internet and video games but the homeless truly understand it, all they need is a helping hand.

there isn't 1000 homeless people in the city I live. I 'volunteered' at the job center before I got a real job and talked to loads of them about this kind of stuff

I think a lot of people his age were shouted at but never disciplined and I think what a lot of people in our age group are looking for is a sense of family, those who already have that dont tend to be into politics that much or read deeper into it in my experience, it might be because they already have what they need so they dont have to look deeper, everything is fine in their world, I dont want to give up on people because they have stupid tattoos and likely have a bad history, they can be saved and in return may save us.

I disagree, what they need is a sense of belonging, drug users get off drugs through rehab but relapse when they dont see the people that helped them kick the habbit, because their lives become empty again, they need community.

You might be right for the more schizophrenic people, although I believe they should be treated well, I dont think however that all drug addicts are to the point where they need to be institutionalised, there might be some in the middle that need temporary institutionalisation also.

Asylums were supposed to be safe places. From the original meaning of the word. Ever seen the beautiful peaceful gardens they all had? Truly calming for the mind. Unfortunately a lot of them turned out to be places where bad things happened, and in a whole series of scandals several decades ago successive governments decided they could do without the embarrassment and scandals so they closed them.

There is a mindblowing (pardon the pun) surge in people who are mentally ill, I've seen the figures, if this was a traditional visible illness then there would be questions in parliament every day, people would be in full blown panic about the surge. Personally I suspect it is down to a combination of:
Collapse of family and safe environment at home.
Lack of time spent in nature (we know this is bad).
Normalisation of use of recreational drugs.
To a lesser extent the stress of modern day life, but then grandparents and ancestors had no food, shoes, health, or anything else and didnt have such problems.
Boredom/empty lives so more time thinking inwardly and possibly going to dark places.
