Nah, he is right. Flat insoled non-elevated shoes are what you should use. Eleveated heel imbalances the function of the hips, encouraging anterior pelvic tilt. When the heel is elevaeted, the posterior chain has to put in less effort than the anterior chain (which is usually already stronger for many), weakening it over time.

It is also the reason women who use heels a lot age so shit. Imbalanced spinal alignment due to hip tilt leads to collapse of facial structure over time.
