According to the CRTC they pay $223 per month per household just to live as modern humans
>Canada’s telecom regulator says the average household spent nearly $223 every month on communications services, including mobile phones, landlines, internet and cable TV in 2016.
>According to the CRTC they pay $223 per month per household just to live as modern humans
When you add phone and interet into the equation, this is about right. And yes, it is ridiculously expensive. The IP's around here love to fuck people up the ass.
Henry Myers
Yeah its called collusion or natural monopolies.
Elijah Morgan
>meanwhile Im paying 15$ Per Month for fucking 900mb/s in a third world country
What is this timeline
Zachary Martinez
>poor >cable TV >mobile phones >landlines >internet no helping stupid
Connor Rogers
Well the white Canadians need to foot the bill for all the free shit they're giving their beloved refugees. Doesn't matter if you're flipping burgers someone needs to make sure Jamal Abdullah with his wife and 6 kids can get Iphones.
Gabriel Nguyen
Cable and internet is retarded up here. I currently have a promotion but the package I have is regularly $240. It's nuts.
Juan Flores
Thank germoney.
Jose Brooks
I pay $30 a month for 300/30 in the boonies. Phone is $15. Why the fuck is Canada so high?
Blake Reed
because leafs are 49% White and shitskins get free gibs from the government and just pay it
you do good work making the shills heads explode bro
Gavin Allen
Because we're fuckin stupid and arrogant. Ontario is the most indebted sub-region on the planet and all we care about is people thinking that we're kind. That's why nobody speaks up about everyday costs. The CRTC(communications regulator) doesn't allow a free market, so we get hosed by two major companies.
Owen Robinson
it's almost criminally and if not grossly negligent for the government to allow this state of affairs to even exist.
Kevin Flores
$500 CAD for 80gb data not bad
im about to go get a 100gb lte sim for 30zł or $8 with tax
I pay $30 for internet. No TV and no cell phone. Well, I have a cell phone, but only use it as a WiFi internet device.
Elijah Hill
nightmare mode.
I talked to a guy from east germany that said the reason canadians shills post 2.7 mb images is in order to drain the datacap of the politically active.
it was a neat theory about the idea of controlling data or allowing it to controlled in such a way (monopoly related high prices - for plausible deniability) in order so slow political reaction time. it's like an added benefit to being able to tax the higher earnings of the telecom companies who you allow to fix prices.
Christian Long
Kill me pole bro
Jackson Cox
200 for tv and net 3- 400 for hydro in ontario 5 dollars a loaf of bread if you drive you might afford gas to get to the end of your driveway some fucking isis terrorist sitting in a mansion somewhere rolling in millions of your money I AM CANADIAN!
Jason King
I always laugh when I see retail workers with iPhones. These are the socialists of the world.
Daniel Foster
>I always laugh when I see retail workers with iPhones you sound like quirky guy user
Colton Scott
wtf is wrong with people, I'm currently a poor fag since I choose to work part time to help out my boomer parents. I spend $40 a month on communication shit and prob make less than everyone in this thread.
Nolan Edwards
Cancel cable, buy a flip phone or cheap android phone and get the cheapest possible phone plan, or just use any service that gives you a free phone number with Wi-Fi.
You don't need cable, or even netflix, you can just pirate anything you want, and Spotify gets you free music.
My local internet company just came out with a really cheap unlimited data plan for home internet with 40 mbps down, so get that for 60 bucks a month.
So basically, you will spend $720 a year for fantastic internet and, if you want, literally nothing for your phone bill. To get this set up with a good router and to buy the phone, you will need less than $1000 in your first year. That is nothing.
Poor people don't know how to be frugal in this country.
Matthew Morgan
>Poor people don't know how to be frugal in this country. i disagree.
Jeremiah Wilson
I spend $100 per month for internet and cellphone and it's gonna go up soon because I had some 2 year deal.
Telecommunication services in Canada are an absolute rip off
>gives you a free phone number with Wi-Fi. This is such a good idea. Then when you're knockout gamed by a nigger and lying in a ditch, there's only a 99% chance your cellphone won't work > 60 bucks a month. This is supposed to be cheap?
Luke Carter
Yeah those idiots should just not have an internet connection or a smartphone. Fucking stupid poor people.
Michael Morales
The average Canadian household net earnings are $4400/mo. Cellular cost is only 10% of your earnings if your household earns the equivalent of one full-time minimum wage job and if that's the case you deserve to live in poverty
80$ or so, which includes taxes. I guess if I added TV which is about 40$ and two people with big cellphone plans at 60$ a pop I'd be at about that monthly.
Jonathan Diaz
>Canadian >BF >Crunchy Roll >expecting milkers Should of asked for dick pics
James Thompson
>Why the fuck is Canada so high? No competition. There are only three ISP nation wide, Rogers, Bell Telus. They're in bed with each other, and the CRTC, the regulatory body is staffed exclusively by ex employees of those telecoms.
Quebec has a 4th large ISP called Videotron, and their prices are about 30~40% lower than the rest of Canada because of having actual competition.
Jayden Williams
Cell phone plans are absurdly expensive. Does anyone know how much a Household would spend a month on landline phones before cell phones got popular?
Brandon Brown
I had a landline in the mid 2000s and I seem to remember it being surprisingly high, like $45 a month or something. It was a rural area, so, "fuck you" pricing
Jacob Myers
You could have a landline for $15/mo in 2005. They over $40/mo now
John Rogers
I still have a land line, but it's obviously over IP and costs me 3$ a month, with the price being frozen at that level forever.
Elijah Evans
Isn't this the kind that can't make 911 calls?
Kayden Bailey
so communication workers should work for free? kys commie scum
Logan Diaz
I use Fido, get cell and home internet for $100. Only had net for 4 months, betty good so far. 30mbps, actually 15-20ish.
Benjamin Fisher
After Trump became president, there are many who cross over to Canada.
