Low-income Canadians spend 9% of annual income on communications services

According to the CRTC they pay $223 per month per household just to live as modern humans

>Canada’s telecom regulator says the average household spent nearly $223 every month on communications services, including mobile phones, landlines, internet and cable TV in 2016.

When you add phone and interet into the equation, this is about right. And yes, it is ridiculously expensive. The IP's around here love to fuck people up the ass.

Yeah its called collusion or natural monopolies.

>meanwhile Im paying 15$ Per
Month for fucking 900mb/s in a third world country

What is this timeline

>poor
>cable TV
>mobile phones
>landlines
>internet
no helping stupid

Well the white Canadians need to foot the bill for all the free shit they're giving their beloved refugees. Doesn't matter if you're flipping burgers someone needs to make sure Jamal Abdullah with his wife and 6 kids can get Iphones.

Cable and internet is retarded up here. I currently have a promotion but the package I have is regularly $240. It's nuts.

Thank germoney.

I pay $30 a month for 300/30 in the boonies. Phone is $15. Why the fuck is Canada so high?

because leafs are 49% White and shitskins get free gibs from the government and just pay it

you do good work making the shills heads explode bro

Because we're fuckin stupid and arrogant. Ontario is the most indebted sub-region on the planet and all we care about is people thinking that we're kind. That's why nobody speaks up about everyday costs. The CRTC(communications regulator) doesn't allow a free market, so we get hosed by two major companies.

it's almost criminally and if not grossly negligent for the government to allow this state of affairs to even exist.

$500 CAD for 80gb data not bad

im about to go get a 100gb lte sim for 30zł or $8 with tax

Attached: CUCKED LEAF PRICES.png (580x1214, 169K)

I pay $30 for internet. No TV and no cell phone. Well, I have a cell phone, but only use it as a WiFi internet device.

nightmare mode.

I talked to a guy from east germany that said the reason canadians shills post 2.7 mb images is in order to drain the datacap of the politically active.

it was a neat theory about the idea of controlling data or allowing it to controlled in such a way (monopoly related high prices - for plausible deniability) in order so slow political reaction time. it's like an added benefit to being able to tax the higher earnings of the telecom companies who you allow to fix prices.

Kill me pole bro

200 for tv and net
3- 400 for hydro in ontario
5 dollars a loaf of bread
if you drive you might afford gas to get to the end of your driveway
some fucking isis terrorist sitting in a mansion somewhere rolling in millions of your money
I
AM
CANADIAN!

I always laugh when I see retail workers with iPhones. These are the socialists of the world.

>I always laugh when I see retail workers with iPhones
you sound like quirky guy user

wtf is wrong with people, I'm currently a poor fag since I choose to work part time to help out my boomer parents. I spend $40 a month on communication shit and prob make less than everyone in this thread.

Cancel cable, buy a flip phone or cheap android phone and get the cheapest possible phone plan, or just use any service that gives you a free phone number with Wi-Fi.

You don't need cable, or even netflix, you can just pirate anything you want, and Spotify gets you free music.

My local internet company just came out with a really cheap unlimited data plan for home internet with 40 mbps down, so get that for 60 bucks a month.

So basically, you will spend $720 a year for fantastic internet and, if you want, literally nothing for your phone bill. To get this set up with a good router and to buy the phone, you will need less than $1000 in your first year. That is nothing.

Poor people don't know how to be frugal in this country.

>Poor people don't know how to be frugal in this country.
i disagree.

I spend $100 per month for internet and cellphone and it's gonna go up soon because I had some 2 year deal.

Telecommunication services in Canada are an absolute rip off

There aren't that many niggers in Canada.

Communications should be free

Sounds about right?

>phone plan is $50/mo
>internet is $60/mo
>girlfriend pays $50/mo on her phone
That's already $160 right there

If I had 2 kids it would probably be ~$220

Husband's cell - 50
my cheapo prepay cell- 15
Internet - 75 (I think?)
Netflix - 12 (?)
Chrunchy roll - 10 (oblig)

No cable, no landline (maybe not that smart)

I'm sure 1/3 of these bills is driven by taxes and pensions for gov parasites, one way or another

Not free but it should be cheaper.

These cock suckers are criminals is love to see every last one of these execs hung off lampposts

Timestamped milkers or GTFO

>poor people need a mobile phone

when will this meme finally die?

>gives you a free phone number with Wi-Fi.
This is such a good idea. Then when you're knockout gamed by a nigger and lying in a ditch, there's only a 99% chance your cellphone won't work
> 60 bucks a month.
This is supposed to be cheap?

Yeah those idiots should just not have an internet connection or a smartphone. Fucking stupid poor people.

The average Canadian household net earnings are $4400/mo. Cellular cost is only 10% of your earnings if your household earns the equivalent of one full-time minimum wage job and if that's the case you deserve to live in poverty

How do you know I'm not a man, smarty pants?

>globalnews.ca/news/4392303/low-income-canadians-income-communications-crtc/
>66$ for unlimited 120mbps internet
>12$ for 100 minutes cellphone plan with unlimited texts (which is what I use it for)

80$ or so, which includes taxes. I guess if I added TV which is about 40$ and two people with big cellphone plans at 60$ a pop I'd be at about that monthly.

>Canadian
>BF
>Crunchy Roll
>expecting milkers
Should of asked for dick pics

>Why the fuck is Canada so high?
No competition. There are only three ISP nation wide, Rogers, Bell Telus. They're in bed with each other, and the CRTC, the regulatory body is staffed exclusively by ex employees of those telecoms.

Quebec has a 4th large ISP called Videotron, and their prices are about 30~40% lower than the rest of Canada because of having actual competition.

Cell phone plans are absurdly expensive. Does anyone know how much a Household would spend a month on landline phones before cell phones got popular?

I had a landline in the mid 2000s and I seem to remember it being surprisingly high, like $45 a month or something. It was a rural area, so, "fuck you" pricing

You could have a landline for $15/mo in 2005. They over $40/mo now

I still have a land line, but it's obviously over IP and costs me 3$ a month, with the price being frozen at that level forever.

Isn't this the kind that can't make 911 calls?

so communication workers should work for free? kys commie scum

I use Fido, get cell and home internet for $100.
Only had net for 4 months, betty good so far. 30mbps, actually 15-20ish.

After Trump became president, there are many who cross over to Canada.

So we went from a relatively small bill for phone service to every family member needs a cell phone. maximum jew

>things aren't that expensive

Timestamped man milkers then

Midwest. Internet is $30. Phone is $50.

Meanwhile the wages haven't gone up in like 20 years.

This is why I LOVE my country.

I bet those "poor" bastards also own fridges and microwaves.

This is the troll who posts these

you're a wacky guy with a zany theory

If you're really poor you cannot afford cable tv or internet.

every phone can make 911 calls. That's why even the cheapest phone bill charges you for it.
