Why do people still believe any seemingly "harmless" drug can't be addictive?
>B-b-but caffeine and alcohol!
Not an argument.
Weed is harmle-!
>mentioning caffeine in the same sentence as alcohol
wew lad
don't know what that image is but i thought my wew.png was something else without looking at it
oh well have this image instead
I don't but potheads do use that argument.
anything can be addictive. I smoked weed daily for almost a full year. I stopped caring about anything, and for anyone who's suffered from depression and/or anxiety, not caring is a miracle. You get addicted to the effect, not the chemical compounds.
potheads are different from people that smoke pot though. just like you can be a bloke that enjoys a beer after work without being an alcoholic.
>weed addicts: somewhat annoying
>opiate addicts: A mortal danger to themselves and others
>benzodiazepine addicts: a mortal danger to themselves and others
>SSRI addicts: a small percentage of them go full ape shit axe murderer suddenly without warning
From a big-picture perspective there's always going to be a subset of drug users. The only question is how harmful is that subset? Stoners aren't really much of a problem to the hive overall.
Your definition of an addictive substance is retarded and makes the whole word meaningless.
Addictive substances release pleasure directly not because you just love shoving amphetamines up your ass.
>>SSRI addicts: a small percentage of them go full ape shit axe murderer suddenly without warning
really, you mean mentally disturbed people do disturbing things?
WOW
Is there any other part of that post you'd like to address or are we going to divert into an argument about psych drugs?
>consuming intoxicants
How absolutely degenerate.
Remove the intoxicants from your life and you'll see things improve dramatically
carry on
drug addiction is part of survival of the fittest
True, we would expect a percentage of loss from individuals being unfit.
However, the cost of one unfit individual stretches far beyond just that individual.
archive or no clicky click, faggot
I believe the honest distinction is between “addictive” and “habit-forming.”
Weed is not addictive; any retard can stop using it cold turkey and be fine, if a bit irritable. This is not true of truly addictive substances.
i got fucking dp/dr from weed. want to kill myself everyday now
weed is a symptom of bigger problems you know
taking non addictive drugs is a symptom of loving freedom
Alcohol is absolutely an argument you twat. It kills more than all other drugs put together. What makes it different? Just because it's a liquid you think it's safe?
stoned = stable
if you depend on it things aren't stable
>alcohol can kill you both from consuming too much, as well as withdrawal
>drunk driving is a leading cause of death
>NOD AN ARGUMIND
>Why do lefties still believe they have any say in what I consume?
FUCK OFF AND DIE COMMIE
i see what they're saying, and as a former weed smoker they have very good points, but this is psychological disorder more than a physical one which alcohol, benzo and opiate addicts suffer from
yes its true that people suffer from neglecting responsibilities, but it's also a result of people not having self control
smoking cannabis as a release at the end of the day is similar to just having a couple of beers or a glass of wine at the end of the day, and SHOULD be consumed in that manner
if anyone thinks that the solution to this is to make it illegal and prohibit it again, they are part of the problem as prohibition does nothing but create the monsters we're currently dealing with in the black market, and what we've learned in 80 years of prohibition if cannabis is that you might be able to take down one or a few people in the network, but there will always be people to pick up the slack and then you have the same problem as before, it's a huge waste of money, resources, and time
more like christian conservatives
I'm a christian conservative, and i wrote prohibition is a bigger problem than people getting high legally
self control is what's lacking, not government intervention
I still don’t understand inhaling the smoke of anything. Your lungs are relatively sensitive organs so why put smoke in them? The gut as a whole is much more durable
you do realize that you can consume cannabis in more ways than just smokingnthe flowers, right?
Exactly. It's not regulation we are lacking. It's self control and self discipline.
I’ve eaten edibles before, but the fact is they’re much less common than smoking weed. And both are far less popular than smoking cigs
they're less commom in areas where it's not legal sure, but the article is specifying the problem of legal cannabis in the states that voted on its legalization, also you can use a vaporizer which doesn't burn the plant matter in order to imbibe the THC from the flowers of the female plant, or make your own cannabutter and make your own edibles, there are recipes all over the internet
Gets you high quicker.
No they aren’t. Potheads are degenerate losers who smoke pot. Those with an ounce of shame try to distance themselves from the degenerate pothead label, but they are potheads all the same
a pothead is one who embraces the lifestyle and attempts to get others to join their loser club
a cannabis user is one who has self control, yet still imbibes and doesn't push a degenerate, unproductive lifestyle, so no, you're wrong
If you drink anything harder than grape juice you’re an alcoholic then
>I still don’t understand inhaling the smoke of anything
then I hope you don't ever go outside because inhaling car exhaust fumes is the equivalent of smoking many cigarettes
>alcohol
>harmless to you and others
No.
>memeflag
>retarded opinion
Doesn't weed cause anxiety, panic attacks, and early onset schizophrenia?
so does a shit life user
>near-constant use === addiction
Kill yourself, Protestant jewcuck.
It's one of the more harmless vices you can do. No hardcore addiction, lots of health benefits, pretty cheap, you still can function no matter how high you are, no hangovers and you cant die from it.
All in all, pretty good.
Only if you're still young when you smoke it.
Then again, schizophrenia is in many ways just society's way of pathologizing any disbelief of its shit-tier babby stories, that is, paying attention early.
Potheads are out in force. Using weed proves you lack self control. It proves youre a degenerate loser who needs drugs to cope. All other excuses are attempts to self decieve about how much of a loser druggie you are
>drugs
>cope
what about performance enhancing
It goes away quickly faggot, it stays longer from worrying about it. Lift heavy weights and stop looking up stuff people say about it.
just stop being a whiny faggot
banning weed is unenforceable and the pros are not worth making that many people outlaws.
once you are on the other side of the line it is easier to do other crimes.
basically the answer is fuck you OP
by your nigger logic tobacco should also be illegal.
It can exacerbate it if you already have it or are predisoposed to it. It will not cause schizophrenia in otherwise healthy people.
thats fucking cold
Kill yourself, half-dicked sadomasochistic jew.
Everybody got something they do or take to make life more interesting. No reason to get salty over it.
ALL drugs should be removed from society. Anyone who argues this probably thinks the holocaust happened.
No fun allowed.
Killing degenerates would be extremely fun
Sounds like you could benefit from a little weed with all that pent-up anger and self-hate
>blablabla stop liking what I don't like
killing is not my style.
The internet is way more addictive and harmful than breathing in marijuana smoke.
stupid nigger, if you'd bothered to have read any of my posts you would have seen where i said I'm a FORMER smoker, prohibition is a bad idea and has never worked exceot to extort more money from citizens in the form of prison construction, prisoner maintenance, jail staff jobs and wages, as well as govt agencies that are formed, armed, and paid for by tax dollars
it's a fucking racket
I've been a nightly smoker for 20 years and I wish I wasn't. I smoke it for the sole purpose of "unwinding" but the problem arises when I'm carefully scheduling responsibilities so that I can "unwind'. More problems arise when responsibilities arise with no notice... Weed doesn't necessarily interfere with what I consider my "core" responsibilities; work, family, bills, home / car maintenance, etc but it does interfere when deciding future endeavors. I have to ask myself, "do I really want to give up getting high at night to take on ______". 20 years later, I just wish I never started smoking it....
It's okay, they're not people so it's not really "murder".
Thanks for the laugh op, reminds me of reefer madness
The harm of weed is less any sort of danger, but more the inactivity it inspires. It's not that it will make you do something dangerous, it's more that those using weed too much just won't do anything.
Alcohol is shit.
>be Even
>Smoke with friends
>play video game
>light up after 9-5 as paralegal at law office
>become a couch lock
>stop doing anything with friends
>no more motivation
>no more ambition
>addicted to weed
>law school attendance moving further and further away
>gained 40 lbs
>eat only fast food
womp womp
>happiness makes you content and that is bad
>the inactivity it inspires
Depends on the Person. It helped me lose like 80 pounds in a year because it made walking outside for hours and hours in shit weather bearable. Driven people will be active no matter what, and lazy pieces of shit will be always lazy, weed or not.
Tobacco should be illegal as well.
please post a picture of yourself I would love to see what a true champion of purity like yourself looks like
god dammit lads im so hungry but trying to cut
