>Why won't those damn millennials move out of their parent's place and get their own home - it's what I did in the 70s!
Well boomer, experts say that your mortgage payment should only cost roughly 1/3rd (33%) of your monthly income. This AS-IS 800 sq foot shack costs a quarter of a million dollars. In order to meet that 33% requirement to buy this run-down shack, I would need to make $27.61 an hour.
This is why I will be confined to renting out apartments my entire life, never being able to partake in the joys of home ownership.

A house like that is 70k where I live you retarded homo.
Ethan Bailey
That house is just a few doors down from where I used to rent a room for $700 a month. I was never more glad to leave, the Seattle area is just too expensive and crowded.
Grayson Ross
>people with children >sending your kids to public school
In most sane places, a house like that goes for $70k or even less. I'm currently stuck in the DC area, another place I want to get out of because of the expense and traffic. I was chatting with a friend in Buffalo not long ago and he was complaining about rents for a one bedroom going up to $800 a month downtown and a 10 minute commute to work.
Luis Garcia
normies do this all the time though and those are the kind of people who care about being close to schools, shopping and freeways because they have kids, cars and money.
in the south there are lots of houses like that for $30k
Xavier Nelson
All you need to look at is rent versus buying. When these become too disconnected that means there is either a housing bubble or housing is undervalued. Right now most places are way more expensive to buy than rent so therefore you do not buy in that area. You rent and wait it out or leave. Right after the housing crash in some places buying was half what it costed to rent, due to difficult financing. In some places like San Fran, you just need to fucking move. It will never be affordable.
William Clark
As I remember, the schools in that area were decent. The area was still pretty leftist so they didn't mind the indoctrination.
The one I lived in on that very street did not seem like it was designed with much thought for how people would arrange their furniture and appliances, but even the guy renting out his place didn't do anything that stupid.
Samuel Bennett
Nobody wants overpriced shitholes in multiculti neighborhoods. Go figure.

i'm 30 and bought my house for 425k with money to spare. it's not as hard as it seems, and should be hilariously easy if you dont live in a totally overpriced housing market like where i live. PROTIP: stop being a self-defeating trumpcuck.
adjusting for inflation, minimum wage was $20 about like 30-40 years ago
of course, that $20 was just about like $4
i grew up with my parents complaining I MADE $4 IN MY FIRST JOB OUT OF HIGHSCHOOL, YOU DONT KNOW HOW GOOD YOU HAVE IT MAKING $7 AN HOUR
when in reality, relative to our pay, they were making about $20
boomers are fucking helpless retards who need to get gassed
Aiden Russell
Where is this? In the Washington DC area, 425k gets you 1-story shack, but in Buffalo, it gets you a pretty nice McMansion

I mean at this rate you would honestly be better taking your life savings going down to your nearest casino and placing all your money on red for roulette. At least there you have a fair 50% chance to double your money.

This. With the amount of lives ruined by roastie whores and their gov't henchmen, it really boggles the mind that there haven't been more violent reprisals against them.

im in the Seattle area like OP's pic, my girlfriend and i are looking at one bedroom apartments right now and you need to spend $1400-1600 a month plus utilities to not live in a slum.
