Every toppled statue contributes to polarization. I love these monuments, but from a harsh Machiavellian point of view this does two things

Both good things. Taking down these monuments is a mistake by the left, the are making emotional and irrational decisions and that is a good thing. Someone on one of the podcasts recently has been making the point that 'they want you and your children raped and killed, and they think that it's funny', and they're right. Today it's 'just' a Confederate soldier, a year from now it's a founding father. As awful and fucking INFURIATING as this is, every time they smash a statue it increases the polarization and we need that to happen so that the awakening happens before we're out of time.
These mistakes are so useful. Get MAD, it encourages the leftists to continue trying to do things like this, and is the right and moral reaction. We're going to get our vengeance on these people, not tomorrow, but soon.
