The GOP/Trump aren't so much pandering to (some minority) in a particular instance as they are pandering to suburban/educated white women, who like seeing politicians "reach out" to (some minority) so they can feel not racist voting for that politician.
Some of the most frustrating things about modern politics, including the gossipy bullshit and need to appear to care about voters who will never ever vote for you is all to appeal to the educated women swing demo. They started as ~good vibes~ tinder thots, got married/a job, and still have "don't make me feel bad about anything ever" as their most important value.

So all across leddit mods have been shutting down discussion of the land extrapolation in South Africa so some ledditor made a thread on r/OutOfTheLoop because literally no where else was allowing discussion, locked threads after 9 comments, complete removals for "sensational headlines", shit like that.
Anyway, so this one thread is a fucking leddit blood pit with radical centrists absolutely slaughtering the kill whitey faction with some /ourguy/ posts sprinkled in. But even in the one sub where the discussion is being allowed, comments are being removed from our side of the spectrum in mass. It's pretty entertaining if you're into that kind of stuff.

I'm sure this is partly true, but you can lead women much more easily through strength. The pandering to modern concerns about 'racism' 'nazis' etc is to reinforce them. At best, it only buys you a moment's relief from the shrieking of Jews and catladies. More often, it reinforces the power their narrative has and they still don't stop attacking for even a second.
My mom hates Trump as a person , but loves his policies . She constantly sees him in a negative light cause of all the bad press , so I can understand why they would do this .
