The original intention of the 2nd amendment was to allow the citizens of the United States of America to form a militia capable of overthrowing a tyrannical government. That means the current ban on full automatics is already unconstitutional. If anything, the people should be allowed to have stronger weapons than the military, but that’s impractical(for obvious reasons) so we should only settle for identical weapons. If the founding fathers were alive today, they would advocate for citizens being granted the ability to own fully operational tanks.
