China is severely overestimated. Huge chunks of the population are extremely poor. Watching videos of people living there you can see the way the people survive there is that nobody spends money on anything so nothing gets fixed. Architecture in most of the country isn't built to last. They don't care about each other and they deliberately try to scam each other out of everything they own.
China has a deep cultural problem, Their big military means nothing if they don't value their brothers and sisters fighting beside them and China values nothing but themselves. China barely has a working traffic system. People die every day from car accidents. China is basically a third world country with no safe drinking water except for bottled water and sometimes even that's fake and polluted as well.
