To measure the prevalence of sexism, researchers with the University of Chicago’s study looked at responses to eight questions dealing with gender issues in the General Social Survey, a national survey that gathers data on Americans’ beliefs on a range of topics.

Respondents were asked to react to statements and questions like:

• “Women should take care of running their home and leave running the country up to men.”

• “It is much better for everyone involved if the man is the achiever outside the home and [the woman] takes care of the home and family.”

• “A working mother can establish just as warm and secure a relationship with her children as a mother who does not work.”

• “Would you vote a female for President?”

Better stated is "Family oriented." Sexist is just a slur. The study asks views about motherhood and family formation. See Utah.

>Utah is in a minority of states where women responding to a nationwide questionnaire showed more sexism — beliefs that isolate or devalue women — than men did, according to an analysis of survey results by economists from the University of Chicago, Northwestern University and National University of Singapore.

There is no such thing as sexism.
>in all fields.

Again, sexist is a tendentious term that is ill suited to scholarly academic writing or studies. Traditional is a useful substitute word for this interesting study. Seems to correlate to real estate prices as well. Affordable family formation in contrast to coastal areas where women are single and men cannot afford to marry and buy homes for children etc.

Based

These leftist news papers should make a map of sexism around the world. and see what is really up.

Its a study by some junior faculty at the university of Chicago. Im a student there.

dam they must be bored as fuck.of all the topics you could research, they picked that one. the problem with social sciences is that the research hypothesis, are so determent by the grand narrative that they fail to formulate valuable or heterodox research questions.

Obviously the white man's fault

>Isolate women
You mean allowing male-only spaces or limiting women to just one dick?

>thinking women should have kids and be mothers is now sexist wrong think
Kim jong un, please hurry!

colonialism obviously. else they would be super rich and very progressive.

how the nig is it possible for there not to be sufficient data on something so unquantifiable as sexism?
that makes absolutely no sense and nullifies the entire premise

Funny Tennessee is so sexist when a huge chunk of elected officials in TN are women.

>sexist
>not sexiest
