well it's not a circlejerk. links get shared, and if people produce content for the site that's not available on youtube (which is happening, with the bannings), then that's incentive for people to start switching platforms. everyone starts somewhere. i remember when youtube was just a site that a few people used, and then slowly it become more and more ubiquitous.

It works fine, it's just a few seconds slower than youtube, the main problems with bitchute are the user interface, which is retarded (but getting better at a snails pace), and the fact that it doesn't have enough content and nobody can embed links to it for some reason. It's just not as mature as youtube. In about five to ten years though, if it's still around and people are still posting there, it will be a viable alternative, I think.

also youtube has had their algorithm rigged for a long time now. so unless you're already into right-wing and conspiratorial stuff, you are going to be exposed to those videos via the suggestions.
