i blame celebrity culture in general. i say that as an actor who is trying to make it in this business, too---it makes me sad how many people genuinely are in it for "fame" and "money". I just like mythology, I like stories---I think they are important and I'm dang good at what I do. I hate the fact that hollywood is crumbling, and I blame these whores and Harvey equally for it.

so few filmmakers actually try to make real shit anymore--so much casting is based off of "who's hot" or "who's woke" and not who is genuinely the most talented and has the right soul for this business.

actors used to be considered lower than prostitues, and in my mind, they still are. i accept that about myself---I have no pretension that I should talk about politics or anyone should care what i say, because acting and theater and filmwriting, etc. etc. is essentially just another trade, another craft---no more or less important to a culture than a plumber.

i hope all this shit passes soon, but i hope we don't kill movies along with it---because they are better mythology and symbols for society than muh youtube videos or muh internet echochamber.
