Why aren't you afraid of Beto, Jow Forums? He's the most charismatic, likable and down to earth man in the Democratic Party, akin to JFK, and is only down 4-6 points in the polls.
I have a couple of relatives in Texas who are Republican and met Beto, and they love the dude.
His name is Bobby Francis and he isn’t who he says he is.
It will be Robert Francis O’Rourke on the ballot. TEXAS LAW. Ask your uncles about that.
Colton Collins
Beto will likely win, Trumps legal peril is intensifying and will likely reflect at the voting booths.
Dominic Gutierrez
They exist, I dunno why you would think they don't. I'm just saying the guy is really likable. I haven't met the guy myself but my relatives really like the guy, how he answers issues and tough questions, and beyond political beliefs is just a cool guy to be around with.
They were the ones who literally compared him to Kennedy, not me.
Jose Ward
>I have a couple of relatives in Texas who are republican and met Beto, and they love the dude Sure thing man, I’m sure a bunch of Texan republicans love the idea of open borders. Sage this shill boys
John Phillips
>open borders Funny you should mention that, my relatives said that literally is not true and is fake news. Beto went to a Republican radio station for fucks sakes to say that he doesn't support open borders, just doesn't support the wall and open to fixing the immigration policy in place because its obviously a failure
Ryan Gray
>Beto will likely win, Trumps legal peril is intensifying and will likely reflect at the voting booths. Texan here. I can't support Trump anymore, that's why I'm voting BETO. Fuck Cruz
Jace Hughes
>He's the most charismatic, likable and down to earth man in the Democratic Party He pushed a fucking draft bill.
Samuel Taylor
Reinstating the draft is honestly red pilled. BETO is based.
>Why aren't you afraid of Beto beating Trump for the leftists in a Presidential election, Jow Forums? Mother of keks, he's a fucking WHITE MALE. Is, in fact, the epitome of what a white male Merican stereotype looks like. He has as much chance of the leftists uniting behind him as feminists do of keeping their mouths shut about feminists getting #metoo'd so they don't end up nuking the whole movement.
Gabriel Walker
Thank you Texas-chan!
Michael Price
Actually Texas republicans have been historically pro-immigration since so much of our state infrastructure is dependent on cheap immigrant labor. That hasn't changed significantly under Trump either. His incendiary rhetoric actually cost him a lot in Texas. He only took Texas by 8 points, smallest margin in half a century. So Beto's cross-aisle appeal is quite real here.
Lincoln Price
Texan here, it will be quite comical when tbere is no "Beto" on the ballot, but "Robert O'Rourke."
The problem being is that all branding as only used the name Beto, most people that "support" him have no idea he isn't a mexican-american. Also, he is now dealing with a DWI arrest from many years ago... typical Irish.
Connor Harris
Doesn't USA voting allow nicknames? Like, Robert "Beto" O' Rourke?
Caleb Gomez
>They said he won't take away guns already with people but still supports banning assault rifles. He has one at home What a mess. He’s doomed, I hope the dems pour a shitload of money into him
There is no such thing as "USA" voting. It is by district and state.
Jonathan Gomez
He's my dickhead congressman. I hope the fucker loses. The only reason some republican texans like him is because he visited their shithole farming community. He won't win the election though. He is anti 2A, pro open borders, and anti texas industry (energy and agriculture).
Anthony Reyes
You do know that being charismatic and likable fixes all those problems right just look at your president just look at duterte
Josiah Wood
He won’t win in Texas. But don’t let that stop you from trying user
Hunter Allen
You have little understanding of the US political spectrum, what works at the national level makes little sense at state an local levels.
Isaac Ramirez
>You do know that being charismatic and likable fixes all those problems right Not in Texas. He would kill our booming economy and people outside of the big cities know that. He will lose, especially since his fake beaner nickname won't be on the ballot.
Jayden Peterson
yeah, when it comes to charisma ted cruz is about as likable as hillary. Cruz vs. Beto = Hillary vs. trump
Carson Perry
I expect any debate to go the way of of Cruz making an iron clad and easily understood argument, while "Beto" will respond with "Here is gift certificates to Bennigan's"
Chase Powell
Hillary lost because of her ideals. Guess who’s ideals more closely resemble Hillary’s?
Tyler Morgan
Then why does Cruz avoid debates with Beto
Easton Scott
Link please.
Jayden King
yeah there havent been any debates because cruz wont meet beto. beto's been trying for like a year to have debates in english and spanish (which cruz supposedly knows), to no avail. it would be fun to see imo
Levi Wood
Again, where is the link to a formal request debate and rejection from Cruz?
Isaac Anderson
>Sea Nigger >Talking about American Politics
Begone to the shithole you have once came. Enjoy your country getting raped again whenever Duterte stepsdown and replaces himself with Marcos’s Son.
Jeremiah Phillips
i dont know man just google it, if you're from texas you see this stuff in the news
Jordan Miller
Just fucking trust him. He only has America’s best interests at heart.
Grayson Baker
Haha, ok. So like other things we see in the "news."
David Stewart
Oh please, we basically copied your circus of a political arena you call "politics". Basically it's our biggest curse and reaffirms my belief that if Duterte ran in America he would win, and that America has a cesspool of a political environment
Anytime someone uses "basically" as a qualifier, they are full of shit. Educate yourself.
Hudson Sullivan
that's cool, honestly didn't know cruz had finally responded to beto's call. thanks user. now we can see the charisma differential on display, should be good.
Lincoln Reed
>Educate yourself. Yes, you should
Yeah, then he stalls and won't accept Beto's invitation or offer any schedule while beto did
Lol. fix your shit sea beaner before talking about countries far better than yours.
>drug problem not fixed >Duterte wanting to step down if Marcos wins recount because “he failed in reigning in the drug problem” >PH economy is doing even worse
USA 10 Seabeaners 0
Ignore the seabeaner
Jayden Hernandez
You didnt read your own link.... sad
Nolan Hughes
Duterte is an actual mayor of more than a decade, and made a literal communist and rebel shithole in the 80s into one of the better cities in our country with millions of people in it and promised to do it nationwide. That was why he was elected
Your president is a meme businessman with 0 experience in governance who got a "small" loan of 1 million dollars from his dad and made an empire full of bankruptcies and so far has sucked jewish and corporate dick and made promises that nobody was sure he would do
I think filipino votes were smarter though.
Did you read though? He keeps saying "we'll discuss" but he never discusses. Beto has agreed immediately to debates while Cruz is taking his "sweet" time
Mason Peterson
>implying seabeaners can read
I can hear his reeeeeees coming from the pc cafe in the middle of the slums. Sad!
Brayden Thomas
i don't know guys, reddit seems very excited about this guy. i'm not a texas voter but seeing the way he's being portrayed makes me wish i was
I think the malnourishment is getting to your head.
Did I hit a nerve there, Joker De La Cruz?
Ian Robinson
>still better than the meme businessman as president nice deflection though, now I know how effective "american education" really is
Joseph Rodriguez
I'm a texas voter from the 7th district. Been here for almost 30 years and never seen anything like the craze over beto, signs everywhere. There were a lot of trump signs in my neighborhood in 2016 and those same houses now have beto signs. texas repubs are kind of their own breed. Same goes for texas liberals though too - I know plenty of pot smoking socialists who are super touchy about 2A issues.
anyway, it's a big state so my neighborhood is hardly a reflection of the larger electoral tectonics, but I live in an historically conservative district that seems to exhibiting a significant realignment.
Joshua James
isn't this guy for gun control? how is he gaining in popularity with this stance in texas?
Yeah, me too. Literally every house literally has a beta sign and people are literally freaking out psyched up for the literal big blue wave. Fake hispanics are literally the hot new thing in Texas.
Asher Evans
He isn't. Noise does not equal actual votes. Many people have no clue what he represents beyond " Beto"
Kayden Wood
>Many people have no clue what he represents beyond " >Beto" It's by design. It's a ploy to get the Mexican brand recognition without having to talk to Mexicans about shit like abortion, fag marriage, and gun confiscation.
Daniel Barnes
He supports super basic gun control measures - the only thing I've actually heard him mention is background checks, which are pretty politically unproblematic (80+% of americans support). That being said, any gun legislation whatsoever is anathema to a substantial voter bloc, so that is a weakness in his platform. But earlier on he was floating more restrictive ideas like an assault weapons ban but he backed off of that because it's political suicide in gun loving Texas.
It remains to be seen if the right can blow this stuff out of proportion enough for it to matter though. They've been pretty successful with that since the 1990's.
Blake Turner
>background checks, which are pretty politically unproblematic (80+% of americans support) There already are background checks though...
Blake Bell
Probkem is there will be no "Beto" on the ballot. Ask "Kinky" Friedman how well that worked for him.
Camden Davis
Texas has higher standards of gun control compared to other states. At most he wants those standards to go national
Adam Watson
Shit, well there goes my "kike-gasser" branding plan.
Luis Rodriguez
Like which ones?
Jayden Scott
not in texas. Or, to be more precise, there are some situations which require background checks, but the vast majority of gun exchanges - gun shows for example - require none. I can literally go but an AK 47 without showing any ID. So Beto is talking about strengthening the background check laws. Which is bad for gun vendors, and though numerically few, they have a lot of money in texas, so he'll probably get a pretty big backlash on that. remains to be seen.
Jose Moore
Texas law requires safety training to qualify for a licence to carry. 18 other states do not. Texas does not issue a license to carry to abusive partners. 14 other states do. Texas doesn’t issue to violent offenders. 22 other states do.
Mason Sanchez
this thread is so fucking bad holy shit
why are you idiots replying to this
Colton Nguyen
You can tell the right is scared shitless at people like Beto because they won't go after him.
When it comes to tearing down a donkey faced commie from Jersey, they are tough as shit. But when your opposition is a modest, down to earth liberal who holds a lot of common sense positions and stands in opposition to idiots like Ted Cruz, they mysteriously fall silent.
Logan Long
They out themselves right away.
Blake Rodriguez
>because they won't go after him. You know that the entire dem primary was less than Cruz received right?
Anthony Martinez
Literally got this from Beto's twitter Basically basic shit you are too ignorant about
Anthony Clark
Righties are scared of moderate liberals. They literally shit themselves when a democrat has charisma because they know that is something they can't beat.
Justin Watson
Why is pol pushing a spic illegal like Cruz over all American Beto?
Jordan Bailey
post your real flag and we'll talk Ivan.
Luis Stewart
Didn't you just say he supported a ban on new sales of "assault weapons"?
Mason Richardson
Imagine a republican spending money in Hawaii, it makes no sense. A similiar thing is happening here, though i will admit that Beto straddles the isle a bit and appeals to many Texas, we are still a red state for now.
Landon Moore
Time to kick your relatives out of the US for being traitors.
Lucas Taylor
none of that is a contradiction he says texas has a better standard and he wants it federal he is also supportive of opening the debate on gun control legislation and as it stands he supports an assault weapon ban
Xavier Gomez
anyway, good thread. all the poo flinging aside, it's in repubs best interest to pay attention to what's going on in texas. whether beto loses or not, I think he's a pretty good indicator of where the dems are headed, if their party is to survive - post-SJW, pragmatic, and young.
Daniel Howard
I have relatives in California, Hawaii, Virginia, Chicago and Texas
Michael Powell
But Texas currently doesn't ban them, so to make Texas the federal standard, you'd have to repeal NY, CT, NJ and MD'S bans.
John Gonzalez
Some of you really need to educate yourselves.
Nathan Gonzalez
Hey idiot, if you are going to shill for a faggot at least learn our system is voting. Fucking SEAniggers.
Julian Gray
what about "open", "debate" and "he wants texas standards" don't you get? You can get texan standards, maybe more
Jayden Brown
Mexicans will not vote for a guy who supports gay marriage or abortions. Trust me.
Lincoln Murphy
They voted for Hillary and Obama
Owen Powell
National level. Not local. Not a valid comparison.
Brandon White
Fellow Texan here too. My mom met Beto. She loves him too. My whole Republican family is voting Beto. Yours should do the same
Evan Clark
I want the ability to buy semi-automatic rifles with pistol grips and detachable box magazines.
Ethan Anderson
No there is not. Gay marriage is now legal in Texas because of their national voting
Nicholas Allen
>I have a couple of relatives in Texas who are Republican and met Beto No you don't.
William Young
"Assault weapons ban" certainly a super basic measure. Fuck you shill faggot.
Connor Baker
Kill yourself for shit posting this trash
Nathaniel Perry
I specifically referred to that as a more restrictive measure which he's since backed away from, my friend.
