another big issue is that IQ isn't very objective. It correlates with success/etc, but it's a pretty shoddy system for measuring "intelligence". I take a lot of issue with that, as well as using IQ as a big part of any argument.
In my experience, the bell curve seems pretty accurate, albeit a bit lower than I would have guessed. I'd have guessed the average was closer to 90.
