Minimum wage SHOULD be a living wage

Attached: min wage.png (900x640, 868K)

It is a living wage, you just need a working roomate or you need to live in a minimum-wage tier dwelling

It should, because then corporations will flee socialist cities and cure the problem for us

it could be a living wage if the government didn't steal half of the paycheck to give to deshaun and his seven baby mammas.

minimum wage shouldnt exist. You cant force a business to pay more than you are worth

No one at Home Depot makes minimum wage.

$7.25/hr is a living wage in locations that don't tax you to fuck and back. Bitch to your state's legislation to mandate a higher STATE minimum wage.. or move the fuck out of New York. It's retarded that you fuckers think "gosh.. the federal government has decided this wage for teh WHOLE NATION.. it can't be right because I can't live on fucking Wall Street with this! We need to change it for everyone everywhere, regardless of the cost of living in those other areas!".

I have friends who work at fucking Taco Bell for $8.15/hr. They have their own apartment.. without room mates. It's a living wage here. I don't give a fuck if it's a living wage in some liberal shithole.

Continuing to raise the minimum wage does nothing but contribute to inflation. Unless you want the government to control the prices of housing and goods such as food then those prices will continually be raised by the people who sell them since their customers will have more money to spend from the increased minimum wage.

minimum wage is for HIGHSCHOOL FAGS and COLLEGE FAGS, no exceptions

Liberals, always remember that the minimum wage existing hurts black people disproportionately more than white people.

Better pick if you like nogs or dollars more

So if you raise the minimum wage, what happens with all the inflation? What about all the jobs that pay slightly more than minimum wage and would have to be raised as well? Why would anyone work in a factory for 15 an hour when they can do something way easier at a grocery store or fast food joint for the same pay? What about all the logistics and other jobs involved in delivering and producing all the products and tools and services involved in simple things like bringing milk to a store? You'd end up paying 4 or 5 bucks for a gallon of milk when originally you could get it for 1.50. It wouldn't do anything to help anyone.

I think the minimum wage should be $100/hour so we can really kickstart this robot takeover that we're asking for.
Entry level jobs just don't exist.

Maybe if he put his education first instead of his customers he'd not be working a job my nephew is working at 18 lol

Daily reminder that the majority of minimum wage workers do significantly more mental and physical work than the average office worker making 3x as much.

What percentage of minimum wage workers die due to their low income?

>education first
That’s what bluepilled nigger say. He needs to learn a trade.

I don't think you guys understand what causes inflation. Debt causes inflation through the creation of money that doesn't currently exist in circulation.

If you hate people having money to spend and help the economy then why don't you hate this?

Attached: 800px-US_productivity_and_real_wages[1].jpg (800x512, 46K)

you SHOULD have a better than minimum wage job

maybe the retards who still do minimum wage over 25 should have either went to college or maybe a fucking trade. sure most wont become uber wealthy but theyll make decent money. shit im just a local truck driver and home every night. i dont make shit tons but the jobs easy and i actually like it. i do well enough and im fucking happy. so go do something u useless lazy nigger loving faggot fuck

>half of all min wage workers should not be working there
>there's an infinite number of good jobs

So..... Get educated on a trade.

Your living conditions are up to you. A living wage for me, living in a small town is easily half of what I make.
Meanwhile, twice my salary wouldn't even cover rent in NYC.

Attached: alex jones with a gun.jpg (703x685, 151K)

Yeah I live an hour away from work and it cuts my rent by almost 50 percent compared to the cityfags. The only people at work who don't act like i'm crazy for doing this are the ones who actually support themselves.

huh, its almost like the mass unchecked immigration into the country has flooded the labor pool with unskilled workers taking up all the jobs which are best for youth experience.

really makes you think

>Force every employer for half the employees of the nation to double their pay
>this won't increase prices

If the minimum wage matters to you that there is none would benefit you the most.

according to that logic we should be deflating since workers aren't making more than they used to

didn't say that. you should be demanding higher paying jobs, not higher wages for bullshit jobs. don't you want to have meaning in your life besides making sure some fat bitch gets her diet coke?

>live in Bakersfield CA pretty cheap 100 miles in LA
>all the tards in LA and SF vote the state minimum wage up to $15 an hour
>fuck over people in cheap cities

Attached: pGDNVSW.jpg (748x518, 54K)

Tell that to half the min wage work force.

I checked the minimum wage back in the late 1960s and plugged the number into a ShadowStats inflation calculator. The minimum wage in the late 1960s early 1970s would be the equivalent of about $40 an hour currently, particularly in major cities were ShadowStats numbers are much more accurate for inflation, that the “official” Bureau of Labors Inflation numbers.
Even if you only worked 20 hours a week at $40 an hour, you could still get by reasonably. At $7.25 or even $15 an hour a person would be struggling at 40 hours a week.

Minimum wage is fine if people don't try and live middle class on it. I made that mistake myself.
>min wage
>apartment
>car
>phone
>internet
>cable
>video gaming
>eating out
>no budgeting
>broke every single week
If I was living like a person making that kind of money should and cooking rice and beans and ditching cable and following a proper budget I would have been comfortable.

absolutely vile

>post yfw you realized all those over 25 minwagecucks never did their homework, partied every fucking weekend, bummed cigs, fucked around on their bf/gf, turned their nose up at trades, didn't enlist even though probably qualified, or are just generally weak

Attached: 1530080145622.jpg (334x334, 88K)

>you've been in the age demographic of the job force for 7 years and have developed no skills that would justify being payed above the bare minimum

honestly might just be easier to die at that point.

If you're not in school (Highschool, College, etc) and you're still on minimum wage, you DESERVE to be on minimum wage.

this

It's almost like if the minimum wage goes up so does the purchasing power and retailers will adjust their prices accordingly.
Just because a danish McDonalds worker on paper has more income than an american McDonalds worker the american will still have a larger purchasing power after income tax, VAT and smaller living expenses in the form of food prices, rent etc.

Sage

If you're over 25 and working for minimum wage in an unskilled job, you've done something wrong with your life. Why should companies be forced to pay for your shortcomings and lack of foresight?

I make $15/hour and my wife makes $12/hour and we're doing fine in flyover country. Why people willingly live somewhere with four times the cost of living without a good job is beyond me.

Home Depot, Wlamart, and Lowes do not pay minimum wage. In fact their starting wage is not that either because thet need workers, and have to compete with others to get them. The only retailers paying minimum, and other businesses are mall rat jobs, even fast food is not paying minimum either.
Also construction is another sector that if you have skills, you make more than office slags. I am a heavy equipment operator so I amke good cash, and benefits. The problem is mmost college grads do not want to actually have to perform manual labor.

I work at goddamned Walmart and make over $12 an hour and starting pay is $11 and I live in flyover. What the fuck jobs are even paying minimum wage these days?

PS if you want wages to rise, then you should support mass deportations of foreign invaders and shutting down legal immigration for all except whites.

This argument is irrelevant
2% of working Americans receive minimum wage
2%
The current US work force is about 160 million
So about 3 million workers earn minimum wage
The real push for $15 is because most union, public and private salaries are tied to the minimum wage
Union contracts specify a salary amount between the minimum wage and union salaries
If the minimum goes up union workers salaries go up
All business get hammered
More per hour, more benefit costs, more overtime costs
This is not about helping those on the bottom rung
This is about rasing all salaries, particularly union salaries so more money in dues, more money to progressive politicians
Worker pay increases, production costs rise, costs for transport, energy all rise, final costs are passednonto the consumer, inflation offsets pay increases, you buying power remains the same and in some cases worse

>I don't think you guys understand what causes inflation.
> Debt causes inflation through the creation of money that doesn't currently exist in circulation.
Created by the Federal Reserve, and governments, chiefly the Federal one that has its own printing press.
>If you hate people having money to spend and help the economy then why don't you hate this?
I do hate this, and have been hannering my Congressthings over it for decades now, and trying to get others to do so. I have also been pushing for a full independent audit of the Federal Reserve, since one condition of their Charter is that if there is a discrepancy the Charter is pulled, and all debts to them absolved. Why do you think the Uniparty Globalists are resisting it so much?

There shouldn't be a "minimum wage", there should be controls on the supply of workers, i.e. a block on immigration. Minimum wage is no different than price controls.

what's a living wage ?

dude that is depressing but considering the same happens in Spain I don't see a way to fix this if it's not communism/free GIBS and that's more debt so that's a big no

show bobs pls

Minimum skill, minimum wage.

Meanwhile you ignore that Schlomo collects your rent.

Minimum wage earners don't pay taxes. The problem is rent you denser mofo.

A lot of old people earning minimum wage doesn't magically disprove the fact that only teenagers and unskilled retards should be earning a wage that low.

Why don't we just tax rent. It's not as if landlords do anything. They're just rent seekers.

Because it’s were I grew up, were my parents own their house, etc.
the problem is that major costs, such as renting or buying a house condo or apartment have gone up at a rate higher than both the Bureau of Labor’s inflation rates, and the ShadowStats inflation rates.
Similarly, Medical costs, property taxes, Education Costs, and most other major expenses have gone up similarly.
Conversely, wages are barely keeping up with the Bureau of Labor inflation rates in many cases.
One could always move, but that in itself will likely cost thousands of $. This doesn’t include money lost in taxes and transfer fees from selling a house, and buying a new one, as well as costs associated with fixing up and customizing the new house to oneself.
There’s also finding a new job, making sure your actually secure in the job before you move, possible additional travel expenses from moving etc.
The main question, is were all the governments money went, since the gov is taxing at higher rates than previously, but not paying most employees as much compared to inflation rates?

of course you're exactly right but being right doesn't even matter anymore

One where you can afford a 3 room penthouse apartment with own pool, have a nice car and eat nothing but organic crap from Whole Foods.
All while plotting how you bring about the communist revolution to bring down the bourgeoisie and set yourself up as a fashion designer for the new red army or as a party leader together with all your friends and allies in said apartment.
Btw smash the fash and fuck drumph

We should force big businesses like Amazon and Apple to pay good wages. Big Businesses are anti-conservative, anti-American, and anti-human. Anybody who disagrees is a boomer tier neoliberal or Jew.

Landlords maintain the residence and land idiot. Sometimes I wish there was a public list of people like you so you're denied apartments and rentals since you obviously are a bad tenant.

>The problem is that you have to pay to live in someone else's house! They should let you live in their house for free!

Kill yourself retard

I make BELOW minimum wage and not only do I pay taxes, but I pay something like $40-100 on my yearly tax return on top of it.

It's supposed to be for teenagers.

But immigration, overpopulation and a degrading society causes this alteration.

Rent does get taxed. The landlord collects the rent, he pays the property tax, and any profits that he makes from renting are taxed. Any other ideas?

I actually looked it up
kafka comes to mind

Minimum wage IS a living wage, what these people want is a middle class lifestyle on minimum wage. The average minimum wage worker has a car loan, phone bill, 1bdrm flat by themselves, eats out all of the time, several subscription services.. Then complains they don't make enough money.

wages get taxed too. in canada if you get paid $800 the employer has to pay roughly that same amount to the government as like an employers tax or something. if you can think of literally anything it's probably taxed.

>the average minimum wage worker has a car loan

????

every minimum wage worker I've ever met with a car is married and has a spouse who makes more than them

You know I had a lot of jobs prior to going to University and Fast food was genuinely the most difficult, and I don't mean difficult in physical labor or mentally challenging. There's just so many factors that make it such a shit way to make money. If I had to rank my hardest jobs it'd go
1. McDonald's
2. Butcher
3. Agriculture
4. Contracting
Which is ridiculous seeing as how every single one of those jobs would be assumed as more demanding.

and vegenaes

They would just increase rents and people will be forced to deal with their shitty prices anyways.
This is a trend in major cities now, saw one guy today unironically renting a van as a room in Lisbon for an absurd price.

This just in, 51% of minimum wage workers are failures at being an adult.

I hate immigrants, but srsly, if you are, flanders is the place to be..
Money for nothing and the chicks for free

We need an economy based on labor and not speculation. As it stands we tax low-wage workers but provide tax breaks and loopholes for people who make money on speculation. We could actually people living wages if we wanted to. We also have to many shitskins that will do the same amount of work for even less. Bubble is bound to burst at some time.

t. nazbol gang gang

>Why don't we just tax rent. It's not as if landlords do anything.
Actually the first attempt at an Income Tax was on rents, and the Supreme Court struck it down for being to narrow, and an unfair law against a few. That was in the late 1800s during our first Progressive president T Roosevelt.

>not my fault no one pays higher than min wage for a feminist theory or diversity degree

fucke them, most adults earning min wage are stupid boomers who didn't save, niggers who aren't worth min wage, or illegals because what are they going to do

>I make BELOW minimum wage and not only do I pay taxes, but I pay something like $40-100 on my yearly tax return on top of it.
KEK! Trudeauites but at least you have free waiting for health care.

My parents basically had this in the 1970s, on two salaries that might have been double minimum wage at most, from what they told me they brought home each week. The only exception was the pool. This was on just over one weeks salary each month for each of them. They left their 3/4 bedroom apartment, which was basically half a floor of a former mansion, because the rent was raised from $85 to $90 a month.
According to the Bureau of Labour, $85 a month in 1970 is equal to $566 a month now. $566 will barely get you a shitty studio apartment in 2018. According to ShadowStats, $85 in 1970 is anout $2,600 in 2018.
That still won’t get a person the same wuality and size of apartment in 2018, the price would probably be about 50% above that or higher, but that likely has to do with more people wanting to live in the city.

This is gospel. If you have a work ethic and are willing to work hard you will fare better in life compared to a degree having lazy fuck.

Why is it depressing? All throughout history people have lived together, and people have lived with their families for a lot of their life or their whole life.

Attached: flat,550x550,075,f.jpg (550x550, 39K)

ohh you're Canadian, that explains it. I remember when I worked at Burger King back 10 years ago I made minimum wage and I always got a tax refund

still, a lazy fuck work ethic guy will make less than a lazy fuck degree guy

You do realize that what you’re saying is already happening now right?

It is a FACT that Walmart and Target both have a country wide minimum wage of $11/hr. In every state. Look it up if you don’t believe me. Not because they were forced to, but because they could afford to, felt that better paid workers would be more productive, and supported a better quality of life for their workers. Yet amazingly, your local Walmart grocery prices were hardly affected. Shocking!

A lot of factory jobs and other blue collar work are having trouble finding workers to work for $15 because its honestly not that much anymore. The job market is amazing and plenty of jobs pay close and are far less dangerous.

The minimum wage IS for no-skill high-schoolers having their first job. The problem is that a bunch of no-skill immigrants came into the country and took the high-schooler's jobs and are now trying to raise a family on that wage. Deport the fuckers and give the kids their entry-level jobs back.

>Landlords maintain the residence and land idiot. Sometimes I wish there was a public list of people like you so you're denied apartments and rentals since you obviously are a bad tenant.
Landlords are supposed to maintain the residence, in reality, most landlords do the shittiest, and least amount of work possible, if they haven’t hired a rental management company, who will likely do the same.
I’ve seen numerous leaking pipes that never got fixed.
Heating that stopped working.
Leaking roofs that had damaged the floor and roof structure.
Out of date electrical work that wasn’t up to code.
Carbon monoxide leaking into apartments.
Doors that wouldn’t open and close properly.
Faulty elevators.
Yards that weren’t maintained.
And paint that was 1/4” thick almost because they would just slap new paint on continuously.
Practically none of the stuff got fixed, or if it did, it was with $5 zink faucets that barely worked.
And this was in some of the expensive rental areas.

If there's love completely fine, but the goal for a society should be that everyone can choose if they want to live with a friend, with a wife/husband or alone, not to be forced to live with some random nigger who also earns a shit

>raise minimum wage
>corporations will continue to push for more lax treatment of illegals so they can continue to employ them for far below minimum wage
>somehow Juan and his twelve kids gets by just fine getting less than minimum wage
Activates those almonds

Home Depot pays more than minimum wage, faggot.

>minimum wage SHOULD be a living wage
Why?

I worked at HomeDepot when I was a teenager. It's a job for children. No skill or product knowledge or trade skill required.

At the time, I was worth the $10.50 I was being paid.

No. It’s not others faults you’re an unskilled piece of shit

That's because kids delay work. 25 is the new 14.

>dude that is depressing
Nothing at all will stop you from applying for and obtaining positions that pay more then minimum wage. Minimum wage is for minimum skill....minimum value, which is what you need to create in order to justify higher pay. If you cannot create $15 or more per hour of value, you certainly should not be making $15.

Well the free market's already fixing that for you. Cities of the future are not places to reside, but places to AirBNB for a few days while on business.

Those sweet commie rent controlled apartments you can never kick any out of? Just another resource to be capitalized upon.

Most people who own property and rent it out are gentiles you mouth breathing commie fuck.

Libshit policy is so bad that grown adults have no choice but to work at minimum wage, sad.

>still, a lazy fuck work ethic guy will make less than a lazy fuck degree guy
Numbers bear out the truth.
I had one of the secretaries comment I made more most of the time. I said that I work anywhere from midnight one day until 5 in the afternoon, and then have to be back in at 2AM to get to a jobsite. I also pointed out that I worked through the heat, and the cold, and build the things that make society work like bridges, dams, flood control, and buildings. She never said a thing to me again about unfair wages.
I operate a concretepump, and the pay is great, and I can get a job anywhere in the world that does not have screwed up work rules for foreign workers.

Its not my fault you're a complete fucking failure who has no idea how to move up in life. Do what the boomers did, work two or three jobs to make ends meet and prove you have ability and gumption.
Fucking losers expecting other people to just give you shit because you're alive.

Not were I’m from. There might be large real estate trusts that aren’t jewish owned, but the vast majority of landlords are jewish, except in certain ghetto areas, were you might have blacks or whites or asians, or whatever owning a small number of buildings.

>Not were I’m from.
You live in a bubble. Most landowners are white in this country.

>what is per capita
