My neighbor, a black unemployed welfare recipient and single mom, has let the trash in her front yard get so bad that after multiple pleas for her to get it picked up i offered her son and his friend (both black and both about 11-12 years old) $10 each to pick it all up. When i offered they seemed excited to both make $10 for what is seriously 15 minutes of semi hard work. We're talking bottles, wrappers, newspapers, and every other kind of trash imaginable that they literally just throw in their yard. I supplied them with 2 tall plastic kitchen bags and told them i would only pay them if ALL the trash was picked up. They agreed and i went to the store. I get back after 10 minutes and the bags are laying in the front yard with about 3 bottles in each trash bag. Not even a noticeable dent put in to the job. I asked "whats going on? You guys quit already?" They replied that they were taking a break and would do the rest later and than had the audacity to ask if they could get the $10 anyways. I told them to forget it and went in the house steaming. I live in Vegas where its extremely windy somedays and the trash they have littered in their yard not only blows in to my yard but also in to the street and everyone else's yard. I live in a mainly hispanic and black neighborhood. I watch the Mexicans and although they live 6-12 people to a house they keep their shit clean and all work everyday. Meanwhile several of the blacks on my block don't leave the house for days at a time. My question is didn't slavery instill some hard work values in these people? I'm really disgusted at these nigglets. Now i probably have to call code enforcement and start some drama. Thoughts???
