The difficulty is the numbers: they take only 6-8000 men per year to do vfp1 (1 year of voluntary military service) then they have to enter vfp4, and it takes something like 1/4 or less of the vfp1.

Ofc it is possible to enter, but the difficulty is made by the number of the partecipants. We have an high unemployment right now, guess how many are trying to enter.

Marines I think is much better since it's harder. And we have some groups that are more white like the seals.

I might be joining the UK reserve army soon, however, there are loads of reasons to never join your nations army, a few examples being:
1). You'll probably just be sent to someplace in the middle east to die for Israel just because they know it's a stupid idea to invade the middle east, so why not get a bunch of dumb fucks who'd do it for you.
2). You're helping out your nations military-industrial complex that thereby, essentially, protecting the interests of the elite ruling class.
3). All armies across the world are funded through taxation and taxation is theft, which is why I will only be joining the army for a little while, and because firearms are banned in the UK there are no militias here so the reserve army is as near to a militia as one can access and join.

it sucks when you're there, but overall you profit. Most things in life will seem pretty chill. Boss is an asshole? At least he doesn't wake you up at 3 a.m and forces you to run around in your gas mask. Hard day at work? At last you're done after 8 pm. Something hurts? Nothing compared to your feet after you've been walking for 100km.

Have joined did my service for my country, have worked alongside special ops forces, I know hard to believe, but joining a military for the feel good feeling is about the stupidest you can do. There are no wars my country should have an interest in joining. The fact is that you are going to see a lot of bullshit, nobody really thanks you for doing three tours to the world's probably biggest shitholes, you get a medal for participating and if you are lucky for doing a good job. Just remember if joining up that you are committed and willing to accept losses including your own life. War is not pretty and half the time you may be shooting at farmers forced to fight you. Meaning is not found on a battlefield working for NATO.

I tried, nailed every test but I was too nervous and fidgety during the psych evaluation. If you fail here in Sweden you are not allowed to apply again in 2 years. Fuck them if they think I'll wait that long. Great way to lose somebody who was highly motivated and interested. Meanwhile they are busy enrolling fat women and somalis by the truckload (requirements are lowered so they can apply).

All those who sign up to join the military don't even bother to read the FINE PRINT in their enlistment contract which states that:

"Laws and regulations that govern military personnel may change without notice to me. Such changes may affect my status, pay, allowances, benefits, and responsibilities as a member of the Armed Forces REGARDLESS of the provisions of this enlistment/ reenlistment document"

That clause gives the government the will to fuck their veterans over which explains why most veterans have a hard time getting healthcare from the VA.

I did the swedish armed forces test back in 2007 and the psych eval was a joke. He basically asked me why I didn't have any immigrant friends and if I was gay. Gave me an arbitrary 4/9 for ability to follow orders and 5/9 to give orders. I told him I didn't want to be drafted.
