There's not a number that it has to pass to make it qualify. People talk of a genocide in Palestine or even a white genocide. A few days ago the UN said there was a genocide in Burma and only about 1000 have died.
It's not just about numbers, but who is in power, language used, treatment of the ethnic groups

There's a problem with this question though. When people are talking of genocide they are talking of an attack on an ethnic group, not a selected group of farmers. If you try to find figures on this MSM straight away try to present these figures for attacks on farmers which are disputed anyway.

No, there is a difference between genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Genocide would be the large scale killing of a population group. Ethnic cleansing would be the removal of an ethnic group from an area of land.
Thus, genocide may include ethnic cleansing but ethnic cleansing does not necessarily include genocide.

Just to clarify, hunting in South Africa is not the same as the US.

You cant just go shoot shit on public land like in the states. All hunting is done on private land and you have to pay the land-owner for each animal you shoot. Its big buisness and now that Americans and Europeans have found out, its basically a licence to print money.

Bonus is that eco-nuts cant complain because it results in a huge area of land being conserved in its natural state or returned to its natural state.

Commercial hunting is a win-win for literally everyone.
