Should I marry a German woman, our children would be 75%, theirs 87.5, theirs 93.75, 96.875, 98.4375, then, for one generation, back down to 50% (Provided we're not talking about simply marrying Germans from a different area, which would result in less of a drop.)
Granted, in this case I've fucked the numbers, really it would be 50% + 98.4375%, but by breeding for a couple extra generations before clearing, you could reduce the margins.
It's just harder if you're outside your ethnic homeland, and a 1.5% sacrifice is hardly all that large.
