No nigger, during the Cold War there was almost always a real threat of nuclear war that would end life as we know it. But I do feel like that we have, for about 20 years now, entered a dark period of modern history. I'd say the following 50 years, perhaps even a lot less, will be decisive for the future. Too many tensions and unsolved problems: Russia, Israel/Palestine, USA, Korean Peninsula, Taiwan, China "colonizing" Africa, the immigration crisis, federalization of Europe...
I'd say we will either stagnate or burn bright in a bonfire soon.
