CNN fucked up and reported a lie, but they are refusing to take the lie back and are actually claiming to "reporting the truth."

This might actually kill CNN. They are the originators of the fake news and they are the only ones who still claim it is true, even when their source (who they attempted to hide) says it is not true.

Lanny Davis was one of CNN's anonymous sources, even they admit this. He commented to them the day they wrote that article; CNN just lied and said he didn't to make sure nobody could figure out he was one of their sources. Unfortunately, for CNN, Davis came out and explained everything himself literally the next day.
Which leads us to CNN claim that they had multiple sources which you say makes the story NOT fake news. Lanny Davis is Cohen's lawyer, and that means he is literally speaking for Cohen. So this other anonymous source must be more reliable when discussing Cohen's intentions than the man hired by Choen himself to represent him in the media and in court...
