Friendly reminder that the Dominican Republic is NOT a black country. They share the island of Hispaniola (first real European settlement in the new world) with Haiti (first black republic) and some history and that's about all they have in common. Dominicans hate Haitians and niggers in general.

I didn't say the country wasn't shit, I said the country isn't an "African" shithole. DR is just like any other 3rd world LatAm country. The majority is technically tri-racial, not mulatto. Whites are a significant minority that has always been a part of DR. The country used to be much more whiter.
The country is just very mixed and diverse, kind of like Brazil. DR also have the largest Japanese and Chinese population in the region. Large Lebanese diaspora, etc

In my experience a somewhat high number of young ones here do emulate American nigger "culture". The Dominicans never really bothered me as a group. They tend to have jobs and not be absent fathers so they seem to do OK here overall as a group.

If you went to the touristic areas, like Punta Cana, you should know that they're filled with Haitian employees because they work like slaves and get paid basically nothing. Even the capital has been getting blacked by immigrants. The Cibao region, which is also the most populous, is the whitest part of DR. You will find real Dominicans there

Do you guys feel a common bond? I know Cuba and Puerto Rico surely do (did?) for being loyalist to Spain and significantly whiter. Yes they are, specially Cubans, but we're all mostly mixed just like the rest of Latin America (just that they're mestizos instead of mulattos). We do feel a common bond, all three of us (Cuba, PR and DR) are very similar culturally. DR helped Cuba get it's independence.
Very accurate. This was DR's key founding father. Whites have always been part of DR since the colonial times. Mixed people and whites always got along in DR. The other two founding fathers were a mestizo and a mulatto.
