That was good to read. I can relate, but in a different setting. I am one of those thousands of parents in India, who come here often to spend time with their children like you, with software jobs and earning well, and who do baby sitting most of the time.
The sheer boredom, the experience of staying confined in a five star jail, the total dependence on our sons/daughters for being able to move around,(which is possible only on weekends) the silence and loneliness in the neighbourhood, the total indifference of the neighbours to us, the artificial “Hi” uttered by any one we pass on the street with whom we make eye contact, when going out for a walk, the freezing cold, the impatience of the lady at the counter in the cafetaria when we don’t understand what they mean when they ask “for here or to go?”, the amusement we experience when we see the dogs of the Americans getting a pampering which we reserve for babies in India, the excessive concern for privacy and unwillingness to share any personal or family information, the pathetic medical facilities and how we dread falling sick here, etc are all common experiences.
I love coming here on short visits for being with the family, but love even more going back and counting the blessings we enjoy in India.
Some day, I would like to pen more details of experiences typical middle class Indian parents go through when they come to USA.

SimCity is much more city management focused with a greater emphasis on infrastructure layout and planning.
Tropico has a political and foreign relations aspect to the game and doesn't place as much emphasis on layout/infrastructure, and has more business tycoon elements regarding building specific industries for your banana republic

yeah. It has a few features that in 5 are left out that I miss, it is simpler in way too, since it is all the same time period. in 5 there are different time periods and you have to modernize and stuff. and there are a lot of other features that you have to think about that make for a more complex game, but there are some things government decision wise that are in 4 and not in 5 that I think make it a better Jow Forums game.
