I know a lot of people don't want to hear this, but I think baby boomers are given an unfair shake sometimes. I mean, to have grown up in the biggest period of prosperity and technological advancement human civilization has ever experienced, along with an overflow of new ideas in literature, film and music, and lets not forget the massive economic boom of postwar America. It was the literal golden age, and certainly all of us who are alive now will probably never see anything like it again. If anything I envy the boomers slightly because they lived through all of it, reaped the benefits and cans till live comfortably; regardless of the means they did well for themselves.
The main problem the average person encounters when dealing with boomers, is the older persons tendency to preach or tutor the younger person based on truths that were relative to them and their youth and time long ago. Almost certainly none of these so called truths stand the test of time, they're annoying at best.
I think that most younger people (younger as in 40 or younger) need to temper their expectations going forward. We're almost guaranteed not to be as prosperous economically, materially, or even culturally. What we have ahead of us is a long process of rectifying generations of mistakes that were made. We'll have to learn how to do more with less, and ultimately i think we'll be the generation that gets looked at more favorably as time passes.
