Western (read: White) society has scorned both nepotism and cronyism for generations and in some places centuries. The only places on planet earth that have any disdain for people getting jobs or opportunities because of who their father was is western countries. BLM calls it "white privilege" but that's just because they're all 80 IQ apes that don't understand that since prehistoric times rich or powerful persons will try to leave their wealth and power to their children.
If you're not allowed to elevate your children through your own works it's a general disincentive to create lasting accomplishments. So it will always be important that parents be able to gift their success to their children in some way. But there's always the danger of allowing too much "privilege" to carry over, where wealth begets wealth and you have children being born billionaires that will never work a day in their life and make more in a day on the interest of their family fortune than you and I will see in 10 lifetimes of labor. And you have the McCains that pulled strings to make sure their sons were always pushed along no matter how bad their scores or abilities. None of this has much to do with "whiteness" and rather more to do with generational wealth and influence. And outside of "white" countries it's much worse.
