That said, there are a number of problems. 1) he's neocon - the kind of guided idiot we do not need in our scarce political right. 2) is pro-Zionist - at alarming levels. 3) plans to destroy nearly 200 years of (mostly) independent foreign policy 4) has only recently adhered to economic liberalism, and shows no signs of understanding it from the beginning; 5) has an extremely ingenious guru - Paulo Guedes - but this is not a safe bet (Collor had Merquior, and we know how it ended) 6) although he spent years and years in politics, he does not know how to be a politician; 7) stubborn and inflexible to the extreme. 8) his past condemns it. As captain of the army, he was undisciplined, and ventured to press his dissatisfaction with salaries (with even an attempt of demoralization of the authorities - supposedly to blow up toilets in the military village). As a politician, he has always had statist convictions and more than once has called for the closing of the congress. In 30 years as a deputy, he never moved a straw to reduce the size of the state.
I can not see him as the best choice. And the others are horrible.

The alignment with Israel is solely because he is influenced by people who love to LARP as Republicans.
