James holmes made an explosive remote control car. He didnt use it though. He left it by a dumpster he said so some random person would come along and start playing with it and blow something up. Probably when it runs into something it blows up. So someone would crash the car into someone as a joke and blow their foot off.

ISIS has been doing this for a few years now, the problem lies not with the drone but with the release mechanism and lack of fire control.
Mortar shells can and are rigged to drop from them, but once they are launched there is no control over the flight path.
Also, trying to use these in very developed countries that are defended against this threat is near impossible, there are weapons to counter drone threats in most technologically advanced nations.

related question, I always wonder how presidents can trust all the cameras that the press bring in. they're all fucking huge and full of metal parts (so no point in simple metal detectors).
what's to stop some radicalized leftist photographer from using their enormous camera to fire a bullet or poisoned projectile? does the SS have some kind of camera technology specialist x-raying every camera brought into the same room as the president?

Most consumer models are too weak to carry a significantly lethal firearm in flight, let alone operate it without being knocked out of the sky by the recoil.
