Yeah, you shouldn't beat your kids. My dad and his brother were beaten as kids and they turned out hyper violent. Had to be isolated in school because they got in so many fights and hurt so many other kids. They continued to get into crazy physical altercations as adults and it wasn't pretty. They yell, scream and lash out a lot too. They've gotten a lot better about it, but you can tell getting beaten really didn't put them on the right path.
