They don't want us to have AI and be able to fight back. If you follow the latest research papers in AI we're very close to realizing artificial general intelligence. They're spreading fear online and in media to keep people away from learning how to use it so when the time comes they have the advantage. At the same time they're buttering people up on how wonderful it is being tracked and censored everywhere while their livelihoods are automated out of existence.

If you want any hope of surviving in the future, you need to be capable of using AI to solve new problems without any help.
