Does anyone else find themselves reluctant to type words like 'nigger', or 'chink', or 'spic', or 'gook' on here?
This is what I shall now call "the Twitter Effect". We ARE becoming increasingly desensitised to free speech at unconscious level, even in the few scant places we have it. Even HERE, we think TWICE before we type out words like 'nigger' or 'cunt' or what have you.
I find this really serious. This is literally hacking our brains. The fucking Google machine has finally got us.
No, not really. I occasionally think twice about how much I'm "swearing" just because I don't want to come across as some cringeworthy child. There's nothing wrong with being polite and not being intentionally abrasive all the time.

In part perhaps these words have become a bit passe here. They get said so much they lose any real meaning; once upon a time, "Jay" was a serious insult, but it lost its meaning. "Moron", similarly, once meant "Retard", and "Retard" has also lost its offense against all but the most fervent of SJWs. The new offensive insult is "Autist".
In general, words are just getting less offensive even as people push like they're more and more so. "Nigger" is thrown around like "Fuck you". It's no big deal I think.
