Oh certainly we can never win permanently, we're too flawed for that. But we can make things less bad, and that's good. We simply do the best we can and pray that it's good enough. Either we win this fight and western civilization lives on and maybe we get to go to space and see the rest of God's creation, or humanity falls into darkness until Christ returns to claim his own. Good will win in the end, but it's up to us to see how far we can get down here in the time we've been given.

Americans, on the whole, have lived so decadently that most modern day political "movements" are just seen as extensions of one's personality, not something essential to their day-to-day livelihood like it would historically have been. It's like dressing up at the Renaissance Fair. People don't actually live like that anymore, so it means jack shit how cool your costume looks or how cool your accent is. It's still just a LARP because in reality you work 9-5 job and come home to an air-conditioned house every night. Tangent aside, I should also point out how most """leaders""" of said """movements""" aren't actually leaders at all, they're just celebrities who happen to enlign with the latest fashions of these personality LARPs (the penultimate example being Milo Yiannopoulos)
Trump and Trumpism is the only legitimate political movement of the last 50 years or so, everything else was just one big LARP.

Yes, he was, but he ran on legitimate issues that actually mattered to the day-to-day lives of the American people, such as making DC less overtly corrupt, the media more fair, the economy boom and the border physically enforced. Trump thrust many, many people back into reality. Illegal immigrants tend to be pretty terrible people. Jobs didn't HAVE to be shipped off to China and India. The media should keep a goal to be as objective as possible, instead of selling the most slanderous, outrageous lies imaginable for clicks. Contrast this to any modern president, those beholden to big name (((donors))) and corporations, who give the people a meaningless choice over which party's candidate will be the one to do absolutely nothing of value that actually matters to real Americans.
People can say xyz about Trump and how he is sill beholden to other powers but that doesn't dismiss the fact that the movement he made is the only actual, non-LARP political movement in modern American history.
