There are car chases all over, the only difference is that every news station in LA has there own helicopter in the sky looking for news to report on.
Other cities can't afford to have their own helicopters in the sky. If you ever see a texas, or other semi big state cover a chase, the footage looks straight out of 1998 with the low quality equipment they have.
