I've only ever known two women who were not completely crazy. One was my mother, and the other is my current wife.

Both of them did not take contraceptive pills, and both for the same reason: That upon taking them for the first time, they noticed sudden personality changes in themselves, and immediately stopped taking them for that reason.

I have asked both of them about this in the past, and they both confessed that they think if they had kept taking the pill, they would not be the same persons they are today. Something about them would have died and been replaced by something else less worthy.

Needless to say, my daughters will never touch the things. There are other ways to prevent pregnancy (if that is desirable) that do not change who they are in a fundamental way.

I think people, men and women, shouldn't be having casual sex in the first place. I feel as though we've lost an important part of romantic relationships because people can have casual sex without any consequences.

What's the alternative? Using condoms? Doing abortions? Sterilization? Not having sex at all? If you have keep having unprotected sex with your wife you'll end up with a child every 16 months or so. That's not viable in our current society. Raising children is too expensive and time consuming.

While reading about hirsutism I read that if a woman has cysts in her reproductive system that trans fats react with some androgen hormone and turn vellus hairs into dark terminal hairs. To be fair, a lot of women take birth control for non birth control reasons. When I was young, I got birth control pills to deal with acne and irregular periods. Some women take them just to control or skip their periods. They used to make a pill that let women have just 4 periods a year, and with many birth control pills they can just skip the sugar pills and stop the withdrawal bleeding from happening. It's honestly very convenient and helps a lot of women function better.

There are more natural ways to handle these issues, but most people just want a pill to solve the problem. It's similar to why people will take drugs and get surgery for obesity instead of just losing weight though diet and exercise.

I don't have casual sex. If I did, I would use condoms of course. Casual sex is normal in women's magazines, but the vast majority of sex is had in relationships.
The people who have the highest number of children in Sweden is the Somalians. They sacrifice a lot to have so many children, at least in terms of what we westerners consider important values. The parents are often unemployed and uneducated, even illiterate. The parents and their children often have neglected medical conditions and the children almost always fail school. Autism, various deficiencies, dyslexia, dyscalculia are rampant in their children. In Sweden, there's low marginal cost in having children if you are poor. The difficult part is maintaining a decent standard of living and a qualitative childhood for even one child.

I would not be willing to sacrifice these things to have children. Raising a child that is illiterate, uneducated or diseased defeats the purpose of having children in the first place.

It affects concentration and multitasking and focus. Guys can focus on one thing and get immersed for hours while girls’ attention spans are super short. Generally it can affect the hobbies you choose - men are more interested in things and women are more interested in people. Men think on a larger scale and women think about the individual - hence why men are more inclined to choose right wing politics as they’re not as affected by their empathy when making decisions.

Well, if religion and white nationalism are so bad, then I reckon it's a good thing I'm neither white nor religious. Although I do believe that religion had such popularity before science, and even after science, because it offered a set of values such as "do unto others, as others do unto you" which is very cliche, but also very true and important if we're to have a functioning society. Intentional or not, the metaphysical and spiritual aspects of it have acted as incentives for people to actually follow and act out these values.

It doesn’t quote a single study. There’s no numbers, the research is not proved to be neither reliable nor valid. It’s some dumb NZ journalist’s interpretation on biochemical reactions that even scientists probably don’t understand yet because they can’t replicate the results on a larger scale and they can’t interpret what they mean with certainty.

Post me the actual studies with the sample numbers and better make sure the women in the studies have all taken the pill for the same amount of years consistently and they had the same average level of esteogen to testosterone ratio before they started.

Thanks for the research link. Unfortunately I can’t gain full access to the whole article. It does refer to the same article. What I pick up from the abstract is that the sample is way too small for a conclusion. And while volume of a brain region has showed correlation with increased or decreased activity in that region, we don’t know from the abstract how much are women on the pill affected. In addition to that, there already is increased activity in those brain regions during the early follicular phase as I said earlier - women behave more like men right before they ovulate. The study simply suggests that’s slightly increased effect. Only during that phase of the cycle, not permanently.

Also, I agree with you that the sample size was far too small and the article over-generalised the results. I suppose we can't really tell if what the article claims is bogus or truth or something in between in this case.
