Think of that: people now spend much more time inside their home, in front of a TV, or computer, or video games or reading/studying, all of which are near-sighted. Then, your eyes muscles don't get trained to switch between different focal and it's only accustomed to see very near. Moreover, since you spend so much time at home, you don't get sun which your eyes really need to be healthy.
What happens? You start to get myopia and not seeing at what is written in the board in the classroom. Because of that, they'll make you wear corrective glasses which will infact worsen the problem, it makes your eyes VERY lazy (the glasses do all the work), at then, you'll be more and more blind because your eyes muscles get much and much weaker because of glasses and because of lifestyle...Then, you need stronger and stronger and stronger corrective glasses and you'll be more and more near-sighted.
Then, two new actors are trying to outjew their competitors: The Jew-contact lenses and the Jew-Lasik (operation). They all are competing against each other but they all agree to milk money by encouraging blindness.
Think about it: Genetically, it makes NO SENSE at all. No way that a "near-sighted" gene could have survived more than several millions of years from the natural selection and genes selection, especially not from the proportions we have today. You just wouldn't survive with such blindness.
It's obviously has something to do with glasses, contact lens, spending too much time doing "near-sighted" activities, of spending too much time indoors without proper sun getting in your skin and in your eyes, which your eyes need, maybe of artificial pixel light, of poor nutrition,...
In everycase, the (((glasses))), (((contact lenses))) and (((Lasik))) make billions of $ every year and thus, it is a conspiracy. Even 300 years ago, people weren't blind like we do now, not even close. One thing for sure, I can't trust the (((Experts))) and (((doctors)))/(((ophthalmologists))) on the matter, like everything else really.
dude maybe but generally, its just shit genes. i've been infront of a screen or paper my whole life (25) almost exclusively, no glasses, can see fine. i can tell theres a slight degredation but still, its much better than my peers.
Easton Barnes
Like I said, genetic makes no sense at all, such genes of "near-sightness" wouldn't have survived millions of years of natural genes selections.
I kind of believe masturbation does degrade eyesight subtly.
I was far-sighted since I was a toddler oddly enough, but also got "astigmatism" as a teenager that applied to mid-range vision and I unironically think either masturbation or screen usage was the cause (it's impossible to tell for sure since 99% of people who do one do the other )
mutations are a thing, also technology fucks evolution up, as them 4-eyes-from-birth get to breed. technology and reading definitely fucks it up, i experience it too, but only a little. as a teenager, a lot. it might have had an effect... personally, the biggest degradation i've sensed for sure was when i studied for the SATs so reading, on paper, often, was the worst imo. screens only make my eyes dry... maybe its how you use screens. i tend to keep mine an 4/3 of an arm away from my eyes for large monitors (24" currently) and around 20" for my phone. i keep seeing people way up close to their screens / books, i think that fucks the eyes like nothing else.
Liam Thompson
I truly believe that it's a possibility. Masturbation and ejaculation are making people weak and lethargic.
Mutations wouldn't affect 75% of the whole world in so little time. But I agree that technology fucks the mankind profoundly, and having a "school education" culture where you have to read and work up close a lot probably help, same with TV,Screens, video games,...All of that which are extremely recent in terms of the human history.
Eh. I'm near-sighted and I got plenty of sun when I was a kid playing outside all day. My mother and maternal grandmother were all near-sighted and they didn't have TVs or computer screens. They didn't sit inside reading all day. Some of us are just born near-sighted, that's all.
Carter Young
take your meds
Nolan Ortiz
Near-sightness caused by the fact that it does not affect survival significantly anymore.
Brody Roberts
In relation of the length of the human history,Near-Sightness isn't a survival factor for only extremely recently.
Henry Nelson
This is actually true. I started doing eye exercises to strengthen my eyes. I don't need reading glasses anymore
What eye exercises user? I have super nearsighted vision and would love to get even a few feet of range before it blurs.
Xavier Gonzalez
I fap between three times a day to every day (need to stop tho because muh dopamine), I have always had, and still have, better than 20/20 vision.
Owen Sullivan
I've heard just going outside and staring into the sky every now and then helps keep eyes healthy.
Ethan Anderson
If you need to read a lot, put your desk in front of a window, and just look outside every now and then.
Ethan Gray
WARNING - Repetitive Motion Injuries and Eyestrain Playing video games can make your muscles, joints, skin or eyes hurt. Follow these instructions to avoid problems such as tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, skin irritation or eyestrain:
Avoid excessive play. Parents should monitor their children for appropriate play. Take a 10 to 15 minute break every hour, even if you don't think you need it. If your hands, wrists, arms or eyes become tired or sore while playing, or if you feel symptoms such as tingling, numbness, burning or stiffness, stop and rest for several hours before playing again. If you continue to have any of the above symptoms or other discomfort during or after play, stop playing and see a doctor.
People with the nearsighted gene who stay outdoors their whole life don't develop myopia.
And people without the nearsighted gene who never go outside and read for 20 hours a day will never develop it.
Jose Sanchez
I never wanted glasses because I see what it does to everyone around me who wears them. I will probably need them. I spent my whole life staring at screens and I look directly at the sun often, my eyes are pretty ok for being 30.
Juan Kelly
I find this an interesting topic. Op is right. I dont think 50% of the population was blind before glasses were invented. It could also be a nutrition issue.
Josiah Young
I forgot the details but the gene variants causing near-sightedness are phenotypically neutral (they do nothing) as long as you do not constantly focus your eyes on things that are close, especially during your youth. Hunter-gatherers never did this enough to have an effect but reading alone will already ruin your eyes.
Many such cases were gene variants once 'did nothing' or actually gave you an advantage (eg. allergies, those genes once protected us from parasitic worms etc in our mostly undercooked meat diet).
We need to eat more bio carrots. They are good for the sight.
Chase Gomez
i think i looked it up and its only effective for seeing in the dark or something... not sure though
Alexander Brown
It's to nourish your eye, but it won't fix your eye problems though.
Jack Gonzalez
It depends on the case. Some people might be naturally short sighted due to shitty genes but certainly worsen it with glasses. Then it's like computers. Your sight gets worse so you have to upgrade your lenses. I honestly cured many problems since I started to live a more rural life (better sight, better skin, better hair) so I wouldn't be surprised if some people could improve their eyesight with exercises and proper rest.
Ryan Sanchez
>It wont fix youre eye problems
I think once you start wearing glasses you can no longer "heal" your eyes. They become lazy and dependant at that point
Adrian Allen
Aldous Huxley has written a book about healing your own eyes. He explained that most sight problems are cause by bad habit.
Nathaniel Cooper
No retard, it's not the muscles. Too little sunlight in childhood results in the eyeball growing to the wrong length.
Xavier Butler
It's sunlight + genetic vulnerability. China went from 20% nearsightedness to 80% in the 1900s, when commies introduced universal education, meaning kids were indoors too much.
Jaxon Jenkins
The genes don't make you inherently nearsighted, they just make it so that the environmental factors will degrade your vision. One person can sit inside all day and look at books and computer screens and keep 20/20 vision, but someone with the genes for it will end up nearsighted. It's a combination of genes and environmental factors. You could prevent it by maybe going outside a lot more often and looking long distances every day.
I really hope we'll figure out a way to reshape eyes to fix this problem though, I have shitty vision which bothers me a lot but the "fixes" involving laser treatments, lens implants, etc. aren't fixing the real issue which is the eye becoming slightly misshapen.
Cameron Gutierrez
UV light is required to trigger stabilization measures in eyes. Glasses filter even more UV, so they often increase near-sightedness.
Ian Nguyen
>Theory theories are supported by data, evidence, and statistics. where are your data, evidence, and statistics?
Hunter Sanders
Weird, since I’ve started wearing my glasses pretty much all the time my prescription has gotten weaker and I only need readers at a distance now
Coincidently the exact time that (((glasses))) we’re introduced.
Camden Kelly
>and not seeing at what is written in the board in the classroom im 20, ive probably been staring at some sort of screen for a good 50,000 fucking hours in my life and my visions 20/20
Isaac Parker
Most myopics just have a growth problem.
Gabriel Lewis
You’ve got it spot on OP it’s a theory I’ve held my whole life. Glasses are a trick. People who “can’t see the board” are just dyslexic faggots who use it as an excuse and then because they complain they can’t see good, the (((ophthalmologist))) does an (((eye test))) and because the kid is adhd dumbass who isn’t trying hard at anything fails the test and is then railroaded on to the glasses train. It’s a Jewish trick similar to circumcising kids or putting them on medication. It makes them a lifelong slave to the (((medical industry)))
Levi Scott
I call BS. China was a 3rd world country, they (mostly peasants) couldn't even afford glasses until recently.
Benjamin Nguyen
Based Jow Forums Pot was right to genocide all the degenerate four eyes. He knew better than to spare them - he wasn't near sighted after all!
Jordan Watson
You're actually right OP.
Myopia is a temporary muscle spasm caused by spending too much time focused close up. Glasses make it permanent.
You can reverse it by limiting screen time, focusing on distance vision activities and slowly working your way back down your prescription.
(((Glasses))) were introduced to China by Europeans in the late 1800’s along with (((opium))) and (((communism))) imagine how bad those old school glasses must have fucked you up. Before the arrival of (((Europeans))) China was a dynastic monarchy full of industrious healthy people with 20/20 vision. After it, they became a communist hellhole full of drugged up 4-eyed twats
Matthew Taylor
Pay less than $50 for eye exam. But glasses online for less than $100. Normally don't have to visit the eye doctor for years on end afterwards.
Some business plan of ((theirs)).
Thomas Carter
Sorry Wang, Chinks were always subhuman.
Sebastian Ramirez
I don’t have to visit any (((eye doctor))) because I saw through the scam for what it was at a young age. You got (((opticianned))) 4 eyes. Live with it
>oh I forgot my glasses >oh I forgot my glasses >oh I broke my glasses >oh I slept with my (((contacts))) in >I have to go to the optician >get new glasses
Cuck
Oliver Lopez
I’m not a chink. You are the subhuman.
Kayden Cook
Its true, they always over prescribe the correction of glasses because they know the eye will get more and more lazy.
Liam Russell
The cornea and lens of your eye focus the light on your retina which then converts the photons into an electrochemical signal that is propagated down the optic nerve towards your occipital lobe for interpretation by the brain.
Again, the cornea (~65-70% of focusing) and lens (~30% of focusing) of the eye are responsible for focusing the light on the retina so a clear image is formed. Myopia (nearsightedness) occurs when the cornea and lens focus the image in front of the retina, and typically occurs in larger than normal eyes. Thats why a negative lens is used. So the eyes are not under-developed they are too big.
Also just because a phenotype is better for the animal does not necessarily ensure that its occurrence will be seen in a higher percentage of the population or that its counterpart will be eliminated, especially when it is not life threatening. Ask all the people who still have sickle cell or are manlets.
