It's easy to use though. The gold principle is:
1. Trust yourself only.
2. Encrypt everything before sending over the public Internet (PGP, SSH Tunnel, SSL, etc.)
3. Encryption keys (including 2-step authentication code) should be saved in an air-gap environment (USB stick) so that if the phone or computer comprised you're still safe, or can buy you sometime to destroy information. Never use SMS to receive the code unless you have to (stupid banks).
