I don't like Assad, however killing him would be a terrible idea, and doing it successfully would take much longer than Iraq. Syria is bordered to several countries that are on thin ice already, see Lebanon, they would be overwhelmed with even more Syrian refugees, more jobs lost, more assassinations, more bombings.
